  • Congrats on new Porsche! It's sweet, you are truly blessed. I hope God allows me to own one of these one day.

    :-)

  • 164755 USD is not enough to get yourself a base carrera in hong kong.... its good to live in america haha

  • "it came with bridgestones" my mum would appreciate that. She likes Pirelli.

  • sweet ride brotha I will post a video like you someday!!!

  • You had a radar detector on the Ferrari?

  • @InfinityFofus Valentine One radar/laser locator:

  • @wyo550 I try my best to succeed in life. Happy that you made it

  • Nice! :) I dragged raced my 997 turbo check out my vid

  • I had a 997 turbo and drag raced it what will they do with this? Drive it under 80mph?

    Not even get in boost?

  • @svt283 From turn 11 to turn 2 at Laguna Seca, I hit 140 in boost

  • You are a lucky man, John. I hope that by the time I'm your age, I too can afford a 911 Turbo.

You couldn't have gone with a better car!

  • @KrisOO17 i hope i can afford in my 30's fuck being old and buying one..

  • First brand new car? Smart man. Thumbs up!

  • My Porsche 911 Turbo S will be arriving in three weeks can't wait !

  • @gpeking01 Have fun and break the engine in properly. The transmission can take abuse- right from the start. But the break in rpms for the first 2000 miles are designed to anneal the chemistry in the cylinder linings. This will ensure maximum performance for the life of the engine. Be VERY careful with "sport plus" setting during break in, as you can hit rev-limit in no time. Also, I suggest you drive it with paddles, but with the "drive" setting able to upshift if you get "distracted" :-)

  • Yes, please tell us what you do for a living :]

  • damn, what do you do to afford such nice cars!?

  • at what net worth should I feel comfortable in buying this without second thinking?

how much is it to maintain in a year?

    Thanks!

  • @MrJager23x Well, the car cost $165,000, so you can keep your brain engaged around that fact. Tracking the car wore the tires out at 3,000 miles and the $1,200 rear brake pads at 7,000 miles.

Regular driving annual cost, oil changes, brake bleeding, etc maybe $200-400. In comparison, Ferraris cost maybe 50 cents a mile in driving. My 550 has been as expensive as $1/mile in maintenance

  • @wyo550 I understand it's $165,000 and I am fortunate enough to win the gene pool lottery. However, I am just trying to wrap my brain around the opportunity cost of sending off $165,000 when I am also trying to establish my own career and success.

Thanks for the reply. Maintenance ain't that bad as what I thought. Cheers and enjoy your ride.

  • The Porsche always wins in the races...it´s the best car of the world, the best car money can buy, and the turbo S is the gourmet version..

  • @1971ratrace the gourmet turbo s and gtr3 or whatever it is may be the best, but the lower line porsches arent as good as other cars in the price range, although they are still nice

  • Wow your first brand new car is a $164,000 911 turbo s lol

  • @tres311 in germany the turbo s starts at 173.241 € = 244.100 $ LOL !!!!

  • Just got a platinum silver turbo with all the fixin's last month LOL. A great car, drives like the devil ! Really lovin' the ol' VW beetle on steroids vibe it gives hehe. Enjoy your car, it's spectacular :)

  • lol....turbans...

  • The only thing I don't like is the rear windshield wiper!!

  • From a Porsche fan since I was a kid drooling over a light brown 912 in our neighborhood, enjoy this car to the max. You deserve it. If someone wants to drive it, make them show the cash up front to pay for it, LOL!

  • Which is better? Porsche Turbo S or 458 Italia??

  • @edge160 For half the cost, I'd say the TS

  • @wyo550 I think you need to check your math. Porsche 911 Turbo S is $160k and the 458 Italia is going to be $240k. That is nowhere near double... Yes for performance to price the Porsche is the better deal...

  • @The1andonlyBYack i know the math, thank you. cost of ownership- not just purchase price. my ferrari cost $1/mile in maintenance, has depreciated to nothing and has no trade in value, with 60,000 miles

  • depends with a porsche u barley need any maintenance and it is a great car and just as fast but a ferrari is a ferrari and well u just cant beat a ferrari

  • @edge160 porsche!!

  • di dyou buy this car or are you lieing

  • @jsschipp4 Are you on drugs and that's why you're shaking?

  • @MoneyWoesGone4Good was a passenger in one of these, was also taking anti-depressants at the time.. basically I nearly passed out then the driver demostrated the lauch control.. 0-60 around 3.0 seconds!

  • @PrismaMD first of all i didnt say he had to, thats just what i would have done. no i havent drove a pdk, but my dad has a porshe turbo stick and i drove it. great ride. i doesnt matter if he got a stick or not . im just saying thats what i would have done. calm down

  • @PrismaMD It's so fast, NASA is working with me to measure "frame dragging" of space time! How cool is that?

  • @PrismaMD dont be a douch, i wasnt saying it was better, i was saying its more fun

  • This man is awesome, he bought a ferrari in 1995, teach me some business!

  • my uncle has one of these and with pdk it goes 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds

  • USD164 dollars... awesome, No wonder u need to defend your way of life!!!

  • @MoneyWoesGone4Good Thanks. I like the arctic silver a lot and it was discontinued on TS last july. the contrast between the highlights of the skion and the black holes of the turbo scoops...cool!

I hope you saw the "first drive" video and also heard the engine sound, through the radiator scoop on the front right of the car! Water pump harmonic. It's alive!

  • you have a very nice taste, porsche´s are my favorite cars in special the turbo model, i love ferraris, astons, lambos, lotus etc but porsches have that Engineering tha i like the most, with this car you can say something like " ey, you dont dont need a V12 to go ridiculously fast", i just would have bought it white with the interiors brown or camel, i wanto to drive someday a machine like that. have you done 0-100 km/h? it really takes 3.4 sec? i want to drive a machine like that someday

  • Mine's black! Not a S though :p

  • Well if you don't need a son, how about a Pupil?

  • @yochickwantsme Thanks, I already have two pupils, one in each eye. They're my favorites :-)

  • Lolz in my country our car (chrysler 300c) cost 164.000 dollars :P Im moving to America!

  • i'll get it in 2013.......

  • Damn i'm moving there. 164.000 dollars for such a car.

  • Beautiful car, enjoy it, the excitement of a brand new car, so cool.

  • you should of got a stick, thats my opinion

  • @wamnintendo1 the turbo s only came with pdk, which is a superior technology as long as you're TOTALLY awake as to what gear you're in

  • Dude I wish I was you! I just think the 911 Turbo S is the ultimate sports car. You can blend in. Not stand out to much like driving a Ferrari, yet connoisseur will pick up on the sublte details and realise what you are driving. Looks simple to drive, yet has all that power. Congrats. I will join you one day!

  • 20bucks says you won't even take her over 80mph lol.........jus teasing your a very very lucky man hope you enjoy that beauty to the fullest!!!

  • whats ur job ??

  • What about all those HP cars, nine in 12 miles why, accidents or speeding? Apart of that, muy God what a beautyfull car, enjoy safely.

  • oh wow beautiful car. wonder if ill ever get one

  • I'm jelly

  • You rule! Congrats! 911 turbo!!

  • $285 worth of options... way to go

  • Another proud owner. Congrats on the purchase. Do you plan on keeping it stock?

  • @mooresalex Thank you. Yes, I don't think I'm smarter than $100 million in RDT&E by Porsche. Interestingly, the modifications to the 2007 997 Turbo I was lucky enough to own seven months last year, were basically incorporated into the Turbo S (GT2 intake plenum in particular,as my return trip across the Mojave from Laguna Seca showed me the limits of the 997 plenum to cool the hot desert air for overboost. I've done test and evaluation on Ferrari exhaust systems: No HP muffler needed on Turbo S

  • Congratulations on your new 911 Turbo...the car that I've always wanted since I was 8 years old. I'm 29 years old now and still have no idea if I'll ever own one in my lifetime. =(

Someday, if God permits, I would also video my trip to the Porsche dealership like you did here (and upload it here if YouTube is still existing by that time)...and hopefully I still have lots of hair in my head lol. ;-)

  • @CaptainH3R0 hope so, we all have dreams hows it going a year down the track lol excuse the pun.

  • Nice 911 very happy for you

  • Cool video- congradulations!

  • Pilot sports would of been a step up from those bridgestones. Nice car, ok color. Like my z06 better. But on another note, I love the clean lines of porsche's 911s4. To many vents on the turbo. Again wicked car though, congrats.

  • @zedosix good comments. thanks. I'd run PS 2's on a 997 I owned last year. They're good and I di have a spare set in the basement, ready to mount on this car. But the RA 11's I mounted on this car to run at Laguna Seca had more surface area and are better-overall- on this car than the PS 2's. Have fun in your Z06!

  • @wyo550 Ya, love my car, just too damn cold to drive it for another 3 months:(. My buddy works for a porsche dealer in the city and gets to drive them once in a while, he's 63yrs old and acts like a child every time he gets in one. Porsche will likely be my next car, a s4 likely but don't really want to go backwards in hp. The s is a real gem but dont' want to go broke just buying one. Have fun, I'm jealous! :)

  • @wyo550 I really hope to buy a porsche someday, but I see I will need to study a lot and work hard to get there.

BTW Your car is amazing !!!

  • Speaking of the WYHP, watch out in Laramie County for car number 196. He is a liar on the stand, and will hide out on east 12th street in Cheyenne leading into Sun Valley. East of the stop and rob at College and 12th. He will do this in the morning and afternoons. As far as I know, that is not a state highway or federal interstate road. WATCH OUT!

  • @gabbing1 If I was you, I'd call WHP in Cheyenne and ask for the Major, now in charge of investigating officer conduct. Under Sam Powell's administration\, it was John Butler (who was very cool)

  • great car! congratz. that car is a monster....

  • What is PDK ? .

Oh , and by the way , nice porsche !

  • @messibarca1 PDK: Porsche Dopple Koplung gretirbe (spelling?) German for "Porsche Double Clutch" transmission, which allows the car to be driven like an automatic- but with manual shifting and power efficiencies. Way cool and on the track, absolutely wonderful, as you can focus on driving- not shifting, etc.

  • @wyo550 aha , thank your very much for the explanation . Enjoy your beautiful Porsche and uplod a lot of videos of it ! (:

  • @wyo550 "Porsche Doppel Kupplung Getriebe"! :)

    Great Car! :)

  • Great car terrible color... Anyway hope u enjoy it!!!

  • @NekoOfficial In a sick, stupid, internet moron sort of way, I'm curious what color YOU would pick?

  • @wyo550 I hope u didn't get offended... I just stated my opinion on the color... I would go for anything but silver, let's say carrera white or meteor grey... If i could afford one that is! :) I'm sure u are a great person and deserve this car i just don't like the color...

  • Congratulations... lovely car. I am sure you are still enjoying it :-)

  • 1st brand new car,?! good fuckin pick!!! enjoy!!!

  • I love these cars their just amazing. And of course my dad wants to get my mom a turbo convertable for christmas! White on black leather and the red brake calipers. Car is brilliant. A lot of hard work went into being able to afford.. Well anything.. Lol

  • Aren't you the dude that got kicked off ferrari chat? Then made up some loser blog to bash f-chat.

    Woahhhhhh

  • Damn US highways suck. You should visit Germany some time.

Road & Track did a comparison between a Z06 Carbon, Turbo S, Audi R8 5.2 and AM Vantage. The Vette was the fastest car on the Mazda Raceway in LS but the Porsche burned some insane acceleration figures into the asphalt. 0-60 in 2.6 and 0-120 in 9.2. Must have had a bit more than 530 HP.

  • 10 second quarter mile et's are amazing as well as the handling.

  • Where do you live? I'd like to steal it.

  • My dad bought himself a used 2008 Continental GT for his 60th birthday. He has cancer now, but the thrill of treating himself to a nice vehicle really lifts his spirits :)

  • lucky bastard

  • @astronot29 he is not lucky. he must have worked very hard to be able to own these types of cars. I'm working very hard right now to be able to do the same.

  • i love the dealer yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah its as if thats the only word he knows.

  • @whoc4r3s117 He says yeah, like Tony almeida from 24.

  • I have the 996 Turbo S, fabulous machine, also in Arctic Silver with factory Aero bodykit. Why does this have the old style wheels with studs?......I thought they all had the centre-lock wheels with the big nut like the GT3RS?

  • @zahirbroadbeach The RS wheels were not available until September 2010 builds and they actually weigh 500 grams more than the wheels I bought (without the lug bolts, which probably add back the weight savings. In my opinion, the Turbo II wheels are better looking on a silver car than the "busy" RS wheels.

  • actually we have a drag car here.

    0-400 in 10.6 secs :)

only the bugatti veyron is faster!!!!

  • @dicktp And the most amazing thing from a sensation standpoint is that each time the gears change up, the car accelerates from the lower RPM even faster...AND it has the brakes of God! Charging a BMW at the apex of Laguna Seca 8A was something I'll never forget- nor will he, looking up as he entered the apex from the right side of turn 7. By the time we got to Turn 11, I was a half block ahead of the guy wouldn't let me pass for most of a lap :-)

  • what a gorgeous car, enjoy it.

My reason to study in school haha

  • Good for you bro, you actually DRIVE your Ferrari...60,000 miles?! Awesome. Most owners are too 'scared' to put mileage on these cars. This is why they are made, to be driven!!

  • Other Than Making Sure My Family Is Takin Care Of.......Allllll I Work For Is A TurboS

  • are you single? my mom would do you

  • With the turbo s, you can go to the track with stile :-)

  • YA YA YA .....

  • I hope that one day I'll be able to have one of these as well :)

  • It is beautiful! Congrats on your new toy.

  • Do you want to adopt a son? lol!

Great car, enjoy it in the best of health!

  • @spadgm Thank you. I"ll be 57 in a couple weeks and think this may be the last car where I have my hand-eye coordination and reflexes to really take it to 80% of its capabilities. I don't need a son thank you :-)

  • I can't belive that the owner asked for the lower spec wheels instead of the centre lock ones, which are stock with the Turbo S.

  • @palinex The Turbo 2 wheels are better:

Two data sources say these wheels are 500 grams lighter/set- than the RS style.

That is all that needs to be said. I want maximum performance- not "looks." The RS wheel looks good on darker 911's- but on silver cars they look "busy"- compared to the dual-featured T-2 wheel's aesthetic enhancement of the turbo ducts and body shape. So, the T-2 wheels are LIGHTER (therefore better performing) and probably better heat-shedding- than the closed in RS style.

  • @wyo550 Great description on Wyoming troopers! I'll remember that next time I'm there.

You wrote that the T2 wheels are 500g Lighter that Centerlock. Correct me if I'm wrong but dont the the centerlock components save a lot more weight in the hubs and other center lock components Vs the 5 bolt counterparts?

  • @scribklu Interesting question about the 5 bolts (adding weight) All I know is that the four RS wheels weigh 500 grams more than Turbo 2 wheels. The car's owners manual needs FOUR PAGES... on how to take the RS wheels off/ put them back on (w/ 300lbs of torque). Maybe I made the right choice and the RS wheels should stay on the race course. The owners manual says using race slicks can exceed the oil system's lateral g-loaded ability to scavenge oil and can void the warranty! Read the manual!
