I like this kind of movie... something that is at the same time real and unreal, and with a mystery behind. If a Neverwas book really exists I would read it surely. Please, if anyone know something about another movie with a similar plot tell me!

@hirh0karn You might try Secondhand Lions. Some other ones worth watching are Inkheart. For 13 and older, Ink is one of my favorites and for more mature audiences, there is Pan's Labyrinth.

@hirh0karn I dug this movie too. Many many will disagree with me on this, but I consider Neverwas to be a Fantasy / Sword and Sorcery flick. So if you liked this, you'll love The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Conan the Barbarian, Passion of the Christ (you heard me LOL), Narnia, Willow, Attack of the Gryphon, Bridge to Terabithia, The Gamers and The Gamers Dorkness Rising by Dead Gentlemen Productions, Spiderwick Chronicles, Golden Compass, Red Sonja, Stardust, Dragonslayer, Red Sonja, Ladyhawke.

Omgoodness this movie is soooo boring. {spoilers} I only kept watching it because I thought that Neverwas was supposed to be real, and that Zack was supposed to be a skeptic who is proved wrong in the end. ...Nope...Gabe is just a crazy old man after all. How disappointing! Watching this was a waste of life.

I really enjoyed watching this movie, and watching this kind of movies makes you feel something different then usual like action movies or something, Its like a warm feeling near your heart knowing or thinking that there is something else, something magical in this life, and that feeling can really free your mind from all the day worries and set you free, what the point of entertainment really is i think. Anyway max stars. Awesome movie, would recommend it to anyone who is interested in fiction.

My favorite thing about it was Sir Ian McKellen (always a good reason to watch a movie)and the ending when he is consumed in sorrow such as, "what is a king without his kingdom!?" and that part of the movie just blew me away with amazingly tears of joy acting.
