Thank you Dann. and thanks for addressing the treadmill As much as I'd like to be outdoors sometimesit's not possible .I am working on it -no injuries since I started your runing technique and I sure appreciate it that. I would like to try the walking now and hopefully will be able to do more of that outdoors.
It's worth studying tai chi while learning this technique, since that's where he gets his information. Changing posture habits are hard without an instructor...
This is an excellent video for runners (and walkers too), I would strongly recommend to anyone having trouble with their hips or lower back following the many points made in this video.
Thought that heel, toe was the way to go. Wonderful demonstrator, he's got the moves to a tee. The little kid example was the best; couldn't have demonstrated it better! Was the age sixty, I want to know what this man eats! He's the picture of health! Thanks again.
In Danny Dreyer's book 'Chi Walking' he says that "High-Chi Foods" are "organic foods, fresh foods, freshly prepared foods, and locally grown foods."
That's good advice, but for nutrition I would go with another source that devotes the entire book to nutrition, not just one chapter. The 'YOU' series by Drs. Roizen and Oz has the best nutritional advice I've ever found. Very easy to read books too.

9:00 He seems to land on his ball of the feet when he is running.
Is that correct?

@ssambugsy -yes search for the video
"How to Avoid Heel Strike: Video Instruction by ChiRunning's Danny Dreyer"
for more info about that.

@ssambugsy Yes. Just plain yes. Dr. Nikolas Romanov can explain it much better than I can. Look up the POSE running method.
