The scene at 2:06 is also taken from one of the TV show episodes however the premise was a little different. Beaver wasn't involved in the TV version of this scene, it was just Ward on the field of the school's football team. Ward approached one of the African-American players from behind and said "Surprise n*gger!" This was during times of integration and the television networks definitely had their opinions on the matter. The actor who played Ward Cleaver was also a conservative WASP.

I love this movie. I wounder what ever happened to Cameron Finley, who played the Beaver. He had a role as Tanner Sloan on Baywatch but only a few titles after that ending in 2000.

This movie is great though not many great remakes of old tv shows, the Honeymooners is a perfect example.
