@kilticker4 Not even close, its Hardcore...it got the breakdowns...very easy repetitive riffs, the monotone singing and very, very short songs...yup its hardcore...Metal has more complex riffs, more melodic singing alot of harmonics, solos, singed, growled or screamed verses, and depending if its metalcore or not, it may have several breakdowns. btw Metal bands now are including breakdowns.. E.g Pantera's Primate Concrete sledge

@pntballfreek that would be more of an argument about sub-genres in music, cuz I'm sure you'd agree that there's a big difference between traditional swing-style jazz and metal (even though the 7 string guitar and the double bass originated in jazz). But I do agree with you that sub-genres do tend to get out of hand almost to the point that there has to be a new sub-genre for each band.

It's a real shame this band apparently couldn't afford good studio quality for even their last album. What sucks even more is the audio's even more poorly mixed in this video, you can barely hear the cymbals at all and on the actual cd they're much louder and easier to notice. But their drummer's a beast, I like watching him go crazy on those drums. :P
