I preferred Yurishii's version of Kosmos Cosmos. But I think Azumin is pretty good too. I don't understand why some people have a problem with the sound of her voice though. I don't think there is anything "Annoying" about her voice at all. I have been a Yukiho fan for a long time and I will always be by her side no matter who her VA is. Because in my eyes, she has always been the same Yukiho to me in both im@s 1 and 2. I think overall Azumin does a pretty good job as Yukiho's VA.
I love both voice actresses, but Yurina's "Kosmos,Cosmos" tops Azumi's any day.
I look at the situation like this; What if after Yurina's resigned and they couldn't have found a new voice actress for Yukiho? Could they have not included her? Just having a person to be my beloved Yukiho is as much praise I can give Azumi. She's any Yukiho fans savior. Just remember, Azumi can't be Yurina. Azumi does a fantastic job in Little Match Girl.
i think that the voice in IM@S 2 is softer and is much richier in tones, in IM@S is stronger pitch but more boring is always strong. even i dont how how i can think of strong in voice, but anyway...
i personally like the new yukiho better... That might be because i never played idolmaster 1 nor heard of the idolmaster until the second one came out.. so yeah.....
old yukiho voice is cute and sound so mature and clam is relaxing to heard it the new one is not so bad but if compare new yukiho is toasted and old yukiho have more personality on her voice <3
Man, old Yukiho's has such a soothing voice. On the other hand, new Yukiho sounds just like any other anime girl. In other words, she sounds generic as hell now.
I thought, wow! the new yukiho (right) sounds much better than the old one! (left) .. But then i noticed i had my earplugs in the wrong way around. lawll
Yukiho used to be my favorite, but her new voice is...
It's not all whispery, it's just all cutesy and just a little bit soft. Yukiho was always supposed to be about soft.
And when she's not singing, her whining is unbearable. She always SHRIEKs the "su" in Japanese words like "Desu" or "Masu" at the end of every sentence. it hurts my ears.
I like them both, BUT I think idolm@ster has too many high pitched voices....It is OK but they can get really annoying. I think her mature voice was better fitting with the layout of the group. But the new voice isn't worse, just more of the same.
The old one's voice is better, but mostly only for her songs. Her airiness and softness of voice got in the way with more upbeat songs, and that isn't as much of a problem with the new one.
I don't mind new!Yukiho. As much as I miss old!Yukiho, I can handle listening to new!Yukiho in almost any song, thinking she's gaining confidence or whatever to sing...
...Except this song. I'm too used to Yurina's soft and breathy singing on this song. Everything about Azumin's version is too different (especially the "Access to the Future part", ugh). It hurts, since this is also one of Yukiho's image song. Because of the glaring differences, I can't accept new!Yukiho on this song.
I like the old one better because it sounds more wistful and calm while the new one is louder and more forced (Not that it's bad). I think that the old voice fits Yukiho's personality better.
thanks for the upload! I was wondering if they had changed her at all, but I guess the changes were too subtle. Do you think you could find comparisons for the other girls like Chihaya?
@comicconfreak I don't really think there would be too much of a difference since all the other idols kept the same voice actor. However, Yukiho went through a voice actor change from the first game and the second game... something about death threats to the first voice actor? Not sure D:
I also think they used the same vocal track from the first game, so they all should sound the same. If I do find any differences, then I'll upload them :D
@MsSeaKittens The death threats were what I heard... I think she did get the death threats, but they weren't the only reason that she quit. I wish they kept her anyway D: Even with the death threats, she could have still in the game ;_;
@chococheese0ninja From what I heard, doing another Idolm@ster game is a big commitment: The game itself, albums, and most notably concerts are a lot to handle. All the voice actresses were told this and Yukiho's old voice actress was the one that probably didn't want that much work this time around. That's one of the main reasons I heard.
@Rihsa Ah, that would make sense. Gee, that's quite a bit of stress to deal with D: Well, at least she did a great job with her time in the Idolm@ster games :D

If only instead of the new Yukiho, they could've used Eri's voice actor (accompanied with possibly a softer voice to match old Yukiho.....)
