This doesn't look that bad, but definitely should not be a Spyro game. If Activision was going to buy the rights to Spyro, they should have made a real Spyro game instead of shoehorning him into something completely unrelated. Even if this game is not bad, it is still pretty much killing Spyro. That said, I would never even consider buying it because of the idiotic and money-grabbing toy thing.

People this game is worth 70$ if anything the three characters are aswome and when your done with those and feel like more just buy the three character pack for 20$ and your set in my opinion even after you beat the game you can get new characters and play more levels to upgrade them and there are 2 paths to take in every character so there is a lot of replay value

At least when Crash Bandicoot changed, the changes added things, like combat and the ability to control unique monsters, and the designs were edgy and sleek. This on the other hand reminds me of Tele Tubbies.

This game is surprisingly fun. My 6 year old nephew started shitting bricks when he first heard about the game so i bought it for him for xmas. Played a bit of coop with him. Had fun. I'm actually planing on buying the 3DS version just so i can have the exclusive "dark spyro" skylander. and i'm 20 years old... Playing skylanders make me feel like i'm 10 years old all over again!

@SuperForRealsWiiGamr The characters with the 3DS version are great! But the actual game, isnt anywhere near as good as the Wii/Xbox version etc. I'd pick it up while you can since its dropped from 60 to 45 and the figures are super and hard to find ^_^ I hope I could help

In Denmark, an ordinary game like Super Mario Galaxy, costs 80-90 US$. My wife bought the Skylanders Starter Pack for the kids for x-mas, and when I asked how much it costs, she just said "Money". So now I´m too scared to look up the price...
In my personal opinion I don't this game should be called "Skylanders Spyro's Adventure" but rather just "Skylanders" if it plays so differently from the original.
If it was just called Skylanders and I saw Spyro I be ready to buy it inmediately.
@neonzombie96 depends if you are a person who likes to play like 30 mins ect you should get it for 3ds but your eyes will hurt if you play to long on 3ds but wii graphics are kinda better then 3ds and the controls are better
@nightmare2271 It doesn't matter, both have wireless portals and the toys can be used on multiple platforms. It really only depends on which controller you want to use and/or if you care about achievements.
i agree with you about everything, even the dislikings about price. but, i also have some other views with it.
1. even though its pricey, considering you get the game, portal of power and THREE figures with it, it's a pretty good deal, especially because this is one of (if not the) first game to use such a technology.
2.like you said, it's not exactly known up to this point for having the best Wii rep, but it IS a pretty good price for what you're getting, and the creators need money, too. thx.

Why do people always think the level of skill has to do with age, I was beating Zelda Ocarina of time and Majoras mask before when I was around the age of 5 then wind waker around 8 or 9, and back then I had no clue about what the internet was so no walkthrough.

got the game and its actually heck lot fun :D sure $70 is a bit to much but if you think about it, the box includes 3 characters (each character is around $8 but if you buy a 3 pack its usually $20) so you can get started, the disc (this would be like $30-$50 since this game has much content) and a portal that actually works perfectly ($10-$20) so i think they priced the starter pack right but i think you should of had the choice to get only 1 character for $5 so the price would be $55
70 for the game plus 5 for each character i dont know whether to be mad at the developers or applaud them for coming up with new ideas to make a crap ton of money. Its almost mandatory you buy new characters especially if you want to play 100 percent of the game. To me it seems kind of shady that for the starting price you cant even access the full game. I wanted to get this game cuz I've been a long term spyro fan, but this i just have to say NO. Games are expensive enough without this shit.

1. You can buy the Adventure packs to expand the game.
2. The toys have brains so whatever you do with it it's saved into the toy itself. Like if you have a Level 3 Spyro and you take it to your friend's house it would still be level 3. So you can start a new profile.
Good game but seriosly it is way too overpriced I think they should have at least added more characters or a bonus disc or something, then it would be more worth the money

In my personal opinion I don't this game should be called "Skylanders Spyro's Adventure" but rather just "Skylanders" if it plays so differently from the original.
If it was just called Skylanders and I saw Spyro I be ready to buy it inmediately.

@neonzombie96 depends if you are a person who likes to play like 30 mins ect you should get it for 3ds but your eyes will hurt if you play to long on 3ds but wii graphics are kinda better then 3ds and the controls are better

@nightmare2271 It doesn't matter, both have wireless portals and the toys can be used on multiple platforms. It really only depends on which controller you want to use and/or if you care about achievements.

i agree with you about everything, even the dislikings about price. but, i also have some other views with it.
1. even though its pricey, considering you get the game, portal of power and THREE figures with it, it's a pretty good deal, especially because this is one of (if not the) first game to use such a technology.
2.like you said, it's not exactly known up to this point for having the best Wii rep, but it IS a pretty good price for what you're getting, and the creators need money, too. thx.

Why do people always think the level of skill has to do with age, I was beating Zelda Ocarina of time and Majoras mask before when I was around the age of 5 then wind waker around 8 or 9, and back then I had no clue about what the internet was so no walkthrough.

@BlueKewne yes but in those game you don't have to buy figures in order to use them.. sure there are some ingame content like new maps in CoD and battlefield.. but you don't need them in order to play the game..

got the game and its actually heck lot fun :D sure $70 is a bit to much but if you think about it, the box includes 3 characters (each character is around $8 but if you buy a 3 pack its usually $20) so you can get started, the disc (this would be like $30-$50 since this game has much content) and a portal that actually works perfectly ($10-$20) so i think they priced the starter pack right but i think you should of had the choice to get only 1 character for $5 so the price would be $55

70 for the game plus 5 for each character i dont know whether to be mad at the developers or applaud them for coming up with new ideas to make a crap ton of money. Its almost mandatory you buy new characters especially if you want to play 100 percent of the game. To me it seems kind of shady that for the starting price you cant even access the full game. I wanted to get this game cuz I've been a long term spyro fan, but this i just have to say NO. Games are expensive enough without this shit.

1. You can buy the Adventure packs to expand the game.
2. The toys have brains so whatever you do with it it's saved into the toy itself. Like if you have a Level 3 Spyro and you take it to your friend's house it would still be level 3. So you can start a new profile.
