i got the 5000... upgraded from a 2000... the latest mpc come with this choping feature that makes it effortless to chop..before i had to maually do it using another program and resample it.. a lot of work.. but the results paid off.. the chopping of the new mpc's..make it so easy and effortless it almost cheating and i admit.... it takes a lot of fun out of it... i thought i was fucking nice choping my samples up untill the 5000 and 100 makes it easy for an 4 year to do it.feels cheap lol

@erik203 The MPC is a drum machine. It is played with one's hands (as you probably spotted in the video) It can be used with a computer. You will probably need a Digital Audio Workstation work with it (Fl Studio, Reason, Cubase, Nunendo, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Cakewalk studio, Ableton Studio etc.)

But when you sample, and say you produce it and are tryna sell it, how does the copyright deal work?

When the owner of the song finds out you sampled their song without a copyright clearance, which they get a huge percentage of the royalties of any song of theirs, that is sampled. you will hear from their lawyer, and then you must go get a lawyer, and they sue you. Thats why most Hip hop producers don't sample anymore, and record companies have turned away from it.

that all depends on how well known the sample is one, and two how many albums sell, and 3 your own popularity. say you only sold like 3,000 albums and used a sample from another artist, they arent going to take you to court for it because the money it would cost to take they lawyers and you to courts well majorly exceed the money you made yourself, making it a pointless effort on their part. your statement is only somewhat relevant to people who are capable of selling 50,000 an up
