Nice extension, it will come in handy. I have a small request though, on the translate from I have selected Auto Detect but there is nothing that says I have it selected.

Maybe you could add a X or something between Auto detect, so I see that I have it selected. Translate to should have the same thing...

But once again, a very nice addition to the browser.

Hi there, I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 and Firefox 3.0.5 and the ALT-mouseclick-thing does not work properly. When I'm using ALT and the left mouse button I can slide my browser window and when I use ALT and the left mouse button I can resize my browser window, but there appears no translation :(

the reason theres no "download now" is because of the status you have the plugin set as (e.g. "experimental")

It's good when it works, but I'm struggling a bit. Sometimes it works okay, but it's hit and miss. I hold down "Alt" and click but the box isn't coming up automatically. I like the addon very much and don't want to try another if I can help it. Thanks all the same. Also, I can't get a lot of text translated :-( Maybe tiny snippets.

Despite what it says on that page, when i installed it I was informed it is not compatible with Firefox 3.0.1 (which is my current version). I got the same result installing from Jimmy's site and from the mozilla site. No luck. I wish it worked, it sounds very useful. Did anybody get it to work with 3.0.1? - if so please let me know how.

It would be better if we could turn off the auto-copy-to-clipboard thing. In any case, I would still be able to copy texts from that popup baloon by simly highlighting the texts, and while holding the mouse down, press Ctrl+C.

you should change because when you want to download something by doing alt+click you get that translation box. I find this annoying.

I have been using a bookmarklet with similar functions with Firefox. The Firefox add-on page had a lot of similar extensions already.

but, it would be amazing if could add a text to speech function to your extension. which could make it read the translated text.

As far as I know there aren't many good text to speech software that has good command line options. TTS programs are usually pretty big, that and the engines so making a FF extension to release to the public is unpractical. I use sodels with FF but it's commercial / in spanish.
