More people should realize that Anthony Phillips is by far the best composer that was ever in Genesis. They would have been a much more special band had he stayed.

You're welcome. There was a book with this piece and five more ("Six Pieces for Guitar") but I'm not able to find it. It seems it's sadly out-of-print now. I'm sure you'll have success learning the piece by ear and watching the video.

Licely done! Ant''s rendition has so much background noise...birds and hiss... and as I remember, something actually sounded like it dropped on the ground in the background...not that the background stuff was actually bad... made it sound so very personal. But it's actually nice to here such a clean recording! Thanks!

Yeah, the one in the album sounds really like a *private* recording. Nothing to do with the pristine sound quality of albums like "Field Day". It has its charm though.

It's just an snippet at a slow pace so it's indeed difficult to spot. What a great early Genesis song, listening again it reminds me of another great song, Deep Purple's Anthem.

Learned by ear, although there is a book with six Ant pieces (this one amongst them) published while ago, but I don't know if it's available now. Thanks for appreciating this, it would be nice to listen the original creations of someone who likes this kind of music. See you.

You'll think I'm crazy but PLEASE hyperboreal, read what I have to say!: What guitar are you using, and what strings. I have come to the conclusion you have the absolute best, and closest sound to this great music. And with all respect to you, I just have to own your guitar, its like a respect thing haha...I just think you are phenominal and would love to practise songs knowing I am using the same as you!!

Oh, my guitar is a Picado study guitar and it's crafted here in Barcelona. It's not a top-notch guitar by any means but it fulfills my needs nevertheless. The strings that I used for this were Hannabach Flamenco, I think, but I'm not very sure :) Normally I would use Augustine strings for the classical guitar.

The sound of the guitar is kind of empoverished by these unprofessional mics that I'm using, it sounds better naturally.

well :)..honestly i red the informations on the song..i don't know if i would have been able to recognize it without knowing before..no we've never played pacidy, but we've a project for a very special gig with a special setlist, including Pacidy. but we go so slow, i don't know when we'll be ready! bye Alex :-)
