hey bro im sorta new to ghost adventures i've seen tons of episodes in a single day and i threw ghost hunters in the garbage, so in your opinion what is the scariest episode in GA that i can watch?
@YoshiStudio672 Good for youuu Ghost Adventures is sooo much better than Ghost Hunters! For me one of the scariest episodes I ever saw was when Zak got possessed at Preston Castleits season 2 and episode 1! The second one would have to be when they showed a picture Aaron took of Nick and there's this thing with glowing red eyes hanging from the ceiling behind him. I barely slept the night after I watched that episode. It was Moundsville, West Virginia State Penitentiary season 1 episode 3.

It's all physics. The law of conservation of energy states that energy may neither be created nor destroyed; therefore, when a spirit is supposedly attempting to manifest itself, where is the energy coming from? Also, energy can be converted into matter and vice versa, but this requires a massive amount of energy. It would require the energy equal to several nuclear explosions for a visible amount of matter to be created. E=MC^2. A ghost materializing would obliterate everything around it.

@roomlost In response to your Q, the energy that spirits use is commonly believed to come from [living] people that are present- [or from batteries & electronics] while spirits retain their energy [as it can't be destroyed] its ability to manifest itself is weakened by not having its own body-like gas w/o a container The presence of others creates a temporary "charge" that can augment the E of the spirits allowing them to manifest for brief periods. Only the body has matter- not the soul.

@catherinesteph Could you give me the name of the peer reviewed physics journal or textbook where you found your information? If it is not an established theory proven by the scientific method, then it is speculation. Could you show me the study that proves spirits can be detected using emf metres? There is not a shred of evidence using scientific protocols to back up what you have said. All these paranormal shows tout that they are performing scientific research, but they're not even close.

@roomlost LOL... um... are you serious? I don't know exactly where these theories/knowledge comes from but there is much more to life than science. Alas good sir, science cannot explain everything in life- perhaps science can neither confirm or deny the validity of modern spirit "theories" because our current understanding of science is flawed or not advanced enough to prove it. @roomlost instead try to develop a better understanding?- how can science, then, not be subjective if we search to prove solely what WE theorize & neglect to publish findings that contradict our favorite theories. I'm getting my degree in Religion [& history]- so I'll admit what I read & learn stays w me as fluid concepts [thus I can't quote] rather than neatly separated mental boxes. If I had to pick 1- ∞ universe theory- Spirits are in parallel/alternate univ that occupies same space as ours

@roomlost Occasionally/ under the right circumstances, the two "universes" come into contact or interact with one another- the necessary conditions for interactions with this parallel universe require a variable amount of energy. In the realm of the spirits- the "alternate universe" the laws of physics do not apply as spirits are in and of themselves forms of energy with no solid or perceivable matter.

@catherinesteph If we're going to talk degrees, do I have to mention all three of mine including my graduate degree? Everything you say is hearsay. There is no evidence for any of it. Physics does apply if a "spirit" is going to interact with this world/universe. If you don't believe in proven scientific theories, then do planes fly because of spirits? Science does not purport to have all the answers, but the scientific method is a powerful tool for discovery. Please learn what science is.

@roomlost Being pretentious was the last thing I wanted to do, though you clearly have no problem with it. My point was that I do not have an extensive background in theoretical sciences. Since you admit that science does not claim to have supreme knowledge or "all the answers"- why then are you trying so hard to argue with science [an unsure and constantly changing subject which can be used to explain some but NOT ALL the answers]?

@roomlost Surely, an educated person such as yourself- if your pride may allow you to do so (if you really do have a degree- there is no way for me to actually know), would see that both science and spirituality are based on theories. Neither are more accurate or worthy of praise than the other [in the interest of education- all fields are valid- except Feminism and Alchemy ;D ] to claim otherwise would be illogical and completely a matter of emotional sentiment rather than actual reason.

It makes middle-aged men scratch their heads and attempt to justify and find obscure explanations [or sit online and argue with American teenagers] over virtually anything. Of course, while the leaders in the fields are working and advancing findings and understandings of the universe, other bitter individuals sit before a computer using flawed circular reasoning that displays nearly every textbook fallacy. C'est la vie!

@catherinesteph Science is based on proven theories and religion is based on faith which is belief without evidence. Please look up the scientific method and the definition of a scientific theory. It is a serious shortcoming of your education if you have made it to university without learning these fundamental concepts. You might also want to look up the definition of circular reasoning while you're at it. A scientific theory is extremely accurate. A spiritual speculation, not so much.
