  • It would be cool to see a video or time lapse of what it's like getting frozen or fired on lol. Awesome!

  • drop it on a train track see if it survives

  • 5:13 evil laugh lol =)

  • this is probably a dumb question but can you shoot videos underwater without ruining it?

  • this is my Favorited REVIEW EVER.

  • is it blend proof??

  • heh drop it from eureka sky deck. That would sure brake it.

  • Did anyone cringe whenever the camera was dropped and flat out destroyed, basically? Hahaha :D

  • Comment removed

  • how will it go with C4

  • this was the video that sold me on buying the sony tx5 and i've had it for almost a year now and i have NO complaints or regrets!! it performs *so* well and i've dropped it and submerged it and besides a few minor scratches on the front-slide cover, it's brand-new

  • @MissLianokeolaMora Excellent. I'm glad this video was useful to you, and the camera has served you well.

  • Badman Blunty black hoodie up and ting.. lol :P

  • 3:11 - Damn! you record, not take a pic... you lie :D

  • Are you a Jedi Blunty? It's just I always see you with a hood!

  • holycrap I need this XD I be droppin shit everywhere

  • that last part with the fire was obviously fake i give it 3 1/2 stars out of 5

    153869969

  • @thesuppup1234 "obviously fake" eh? Well you're a bit of an ignoramus then, because it was 100% real. You can even see smoke curl off the camera once the flames stop.

Why would I lie about this?

  • @thesuppup1234 there was a fricking lighter next to the sprayer blind idiot.

  • @thesuppup1234 stupid

  • 1:31 - LOL

  • Awesome! I think I really need this camera!

  • Fire in a can =]

  • Hi Blunty,

You should definitely make a similar video, but with the new Sony TX-55. I just wanted to know, if the TX-55 is as good as the previous TX-5.

Thx! Damn nice review btw :D

  • @Blunty3000 BUT WILL IT BLEND!!!!!

  • I have sony tx5 and i love it so much :D..but I couldn`t try to test it like this ....i almost screamed when you dropped on the floor the camera ...:)))

  • i have tx5 but i can't try this..

  • but still, IT BLENDS!

  • I had the sony TX7 and the tx10. Never had the TX5, this is impressive.

  • good

  • so THAT'S how people get vids from "Freezer View"

  • Do you think yo can get your hands on a tx10 and thus devise even greater ways to torched it providing us with a source of entertainment ?

  • awesome! i want this camera, i'll go to colombian beachs the next summer :D

  • VERY informative thanks for the information. God bless Blunty

  • can you like capture pics from a video on there ????

  • What lights are you using to 'light' up the scene?

  • Now thats an idea, I should get one and throw it into the air, and smack it with a baseball bat into a brick wall!

  • will it blend ?

    that is the question..

  • you are cool..i love england ...thanks anyway

  • @cursetogod You mean Aus?

  • daym thats one tough camera

    AND ITS PINK! :D

  • I've messed up a camera and an iphone by dreanching them in hand sanitizer, so waterproof would be great for me.

  • why pink...

  • what happens when you dont have the lense covered?

  • you sould try to wash it in you washing mechene.

  • Dang this thing is like from another UNIVERSE!

  • Imagine Blunty lrft it iin his freezer for months..

  • this song sounds like it is from GT5

  • Shouldve dropped it into boiling water, in case it comes out of your chest pocket when making tea, or drop kicked it against a brick wall, in case it falls out of your pocket playing football.

  • Shouldve dropped it into boiling water, in case it comes out of your chest packet when making tea, or drop kicked it against a brick wall, in case it falls out of your pocket playing football.

  • what if you drop the tx10 when you get it into hot water, or actual sand, im talking some of the finest natural grain sand you could find.

  • is it still waterproof when i used it on beach?! wont affect anything. thank you

  • IF YOU ARE LOOKING INTO PURCHASING THE TX5 AND ARE WORRIED ABOUT SCRATCHES- GET THE SILVER. The camera is made of steel and the other colors are pretty much painted on top of the silver or black- so it is bound to scratch off.

I have yet to go swimming with the tx5- but I have tested it underwater once and it works just fine. To be honest, I'm scared out of my mind to take it underwater because it is sooo unnatural for these compact dcs. This video relaxes me a bit. I will try it this summer!!

  • Your my hero!

  • But will it blend???

  • Fire. GadDAMN. I am thoroughly impressed.

  • ya only shall give it to justin bieber and it is broken ;)

  • @jukpulfer Fail attempt to be funny and doesn't even make sense.

  • @iRwaaar fuck you, its right

  • The question is, Will it blend?

  • try to see if it'll work if a car runs over it >:)

  • The burning part looked fake :3

  • @iSwayzak Get some hair spray and a lighter, and use it as a flamethrower yourself, looks exactly like that.

  • the icefeilds of georgia... well put Blunty

  • but is it bullet proof >:3

  • SO IT'S NOT BURNED AS WELL!!? great i'm really gonna buy this camera!

  • oh my god i love it!

    i'll get it soon *___*

  • nice spore music at the time lapse of the thaw

  • So, what exactly gave you the idea to try and burn it? XD

  • @rikuantiform dude, he's an aussie? since when have we NOT liked to burn stuff? :D

  • Hey, Blunty

Please pardon me if you've already answered this question, but what is the sound quality of the recorded videos like? My current camera (A Nikon Coolpix, so a not-too-shabby brand) takes great video, but the audio is horrendous :( Check out my hamster videos, sounds like I'm in a chopper!

Also, Happy new year man :-)

  • @azayles If you want video with great sound, do not buy a compact stills camera... end of story. The mics in these things are, by necessity small with tiny openings in the case, you'll NEVER get great audio out of a setup like that, it's just the physics of it the best you can hope for is "okish"

  • @Blunty3000 Yeah good point there, I already have a good camera anyway, so if I'm gonna get another bit of kit, I might as well make it a camcorder of sorts.

Thanks for the input, much appreciated :-)

  • @Blunty3000 Well not be a douche, I bought a Panasonic DMC-FZ45/40 and it has stereo mic's and the quality of the sound is great, almost no noise, my voice or anybody's sounds just great. I'm so very proud of having this cam. But the zoom when u'r recording...is slow as shit. and the focus is great. Even though I would prefer to buy the Sony-HX100V/B, which has a focus ring an 30x optical zoom. 1080/60p(OMG), 16.1 MP. Just great.

  • @azayles I have a Panasonic Lumix TS2.. sound is amazing for video.. 720 HD.. recorded a bunch of vids at a concert, VERY loud, came out with amazing, crystal clear quality.

  • @steelersfan4eva I'll have to check that out. Thanks, Bethany :-)

  • @azayles no prob, Im going to post the vids. I have one from a concert, have another from a Monster Jam show.. another from 4 wheeling.. check back a little bit later so they can process and stuff. :)

  • OMG, when you freezed it i was in total shock , i could not beleive you did that !

  • last time I dropped it into the snows, it still work!

  • that's amazing happy my mom is awesome enough to get this :D

  • I got this camera last night. You do an awesome review.

  • can it survive -40C?

  • NO ONLY -10c it's writin in the camera

  • @24Timmy10 here, in winter it gets to - 50 C so it wouldn`t survive long

  • Good camera ! btw W90 offers time-lapse. does tx5 provide time-lapse ?

  • @SiamLoveLoveLove I mean Pentax W90

  • ★★★★★

  • ★★★★★

  • talk normal

  • holy crap! @blunty3000 that was awesome ;)

    Five Stars!: ★★★★★

  • Amazing ★★★★★

  • i have this camera and it's very tough. however it is NOT scratchproof. I've already had a few scratches on the paint on the front of the camera and a minor dent. Also the responsiveness on the touch screen isnt as good as my galaxy s phone or an iphone. The screen resolution is also a little dated compared to higher rez lcd like the nikon s80 or the sony tx7/tx9. having said that it takes decent pics 720p video and the water/dust/shock proof are a MAJOR PLUS and i have no regrets getting it.

  • i felt bad for the camera...

  • kill it harder

  • Mr. Blunty I have 1 thing to say to you and a question:

You are ruthless when people say that something "techy" is very hard to break. ;]

and my question is: Could you take pictures under-water with this camera? xD 'cause you had the protective cover thing on it when placed in water.

  • wow amazing!

  • To quote batman, "Does it come in black?"

  • That is freaking ridiculous. HOW?! lol

  • This thing needs to be on "Will it Blend?". Unless it already has, in which case I'll find it once I search for it after I post this.

  • @Blunty3000 Hows the battery life on this thing? and does it come in different colours other then pink?

  • amoooiiizzzziiinggg!! haahhaha very funny though! hahaha

  • WOW! I wonder if this camera would survive an atomic bomb????

    LMAO

  • Bravo, super fun....good camera indeed

  • TX5 battery life is very, VERY poor.

  • guess this is one of the things scientists will be digging out of ice in a couple million years.

  • Travel around the world with an Russain women gettop5.info

  • i really think your videos are mint! but i'm sick of people posting stupid comments. what's the point lol. keep up the good work buddy.

  • You should have been filming from the TX5 while you tortured it.

  • Maybe you would drop it in a camp fire or a BBQ?

  • Blunty thanks for the review...can you also try other camera's such as Canon and Olympus u tough 6020? I wonder if they will also sustain the same torture..lol

  • Thanks Blunty!! Really enjoyed this review! Cheers!

  • i bought this camera the other day after dropping my old camera while here on holiday in the phillipines.

been having fun with it but after feeling some late night buyers remorse I watched this video. buyers remorse now banished forevermore.

    thankyou blunty!!

  • Hey Blunty. Thanks for the awesome review. It's kind of surprising that there are no other reviews out there that are testing out the acclaimed features of the camera.

I am getting this for christmas so I am glad to know I'm getting my moneys worth. Thanks.

  • i love how he can change from an austrailian accent and then speak in an american accent. but very good review still

  • omg why did you do that to such an awesome camera!!!!! wtf?!!!

  • If it's supposed to be all tough and all, why is it Pink?

  • cause pink is the new black and we all know black is the color of awesome

  • The Sony Handycam is pretty much shockproof and what not, I mounted it on my bike and went down a hill at I donno, 60km/h and it fell off into the dust crashing down. it was still recording the crash until a point where the cd just stuffs up.

I still use the cam today

  • ooooo this is the camera for me :D my, 900 degree buttery stainless steel rock hands :D

  • ooooo this is the camera for me :D my, 900 degree buttery stainless steen rock hands :D

  • hahahahahaha they probably sent him the best model! When its massed produced it probably wont be able to handle that torture! hahahaha

  • @airtwaine It was a standard retail model, even came in standard retail packaging. don't be absurd.

  • @Blunty3000 While I do agree that its more than likely the standard retail model I wouldn't be suprised if they actually did do exactly what airtwaine was saying if for no other reason simply to boost its popularity upon realease

  • @Blunty3000 to avoid the previous comment you coulda bought one from walmart and showed the reciept, had sony reimburse you.

  • if chuck norris were a camera...

  • hii blunty ,, should i wait for another water proof camera do you think sony well make a better water proof camera ?

  • Poor camera.. survived all this... ;D

  • i loved this review. Dunno why but i really enjoyed it

  • why would people think its fake

  • drop it in a camp fire

  • @BringerOfD Bonfire.. I'm just saying..XD

  • i like how much you put this camera through and yet people still find stuff to bitch about.

  • Sony is biuld to last M$ just wants money

  • I'd say im against Camera Cruelty XD

  • you never burnt it :(

  • will it take underwater pictures

  • i don't recall it being fireproof? whats next, bulletproof? lol but still great review

  • holy shit 0__0 lol

  • Wow that really is amazing, i was positive that the freezing would've broke it for sure. I want to buy this camera for a skii trip later on in the year.

  • LOL I use that deoderant!

  • Will it Blend. That is the question.

  • Blunty! Please try to put the camera through a washing machine! I want to see if it will survive the ride~ I just bought this camera in pink & it's arriving soon! Exciteddddd

  • hey man, is ti made to take pictures underwater or just to survive being underwater?

  • @toritoboy - It can take pictures/videos underwater~ There's videos on youtube taken underwater with the TX5

  • the fire looks so fake

  • @anthonykobzunenko It's quite real, the strange colour is just because of the fuel (deodorant)

  • @Blunty3000 No, you can clearly see it doesn't make contact with the phone.

    It looks so fake.

  • @9kjamal9k What phone? If you mean camera you can SEE the residue from the burning propellant ON THE CAMERA'S CASING when I pick it up and bring it in for a close up (Without any cuts) you can even see the smoke come off it for crying out loud.

  • @Blunty3000 Yes, sorry i don't know what the hell i was on about with the phone.

But your right i watched it again and could see that it was real, I just came across as a massive troll then.

But im really not sorry ^.^

  • @Blunty3000 agreed, 9k is just a fucking troll: great job mate, i found this lol'able at how awesome it is XD

  • @Blunty3000

it does looks kinda fake tbh, and you did make a cut, you can see the sunlight rise a lil bit all of a sudden right before u pick it. but i have to admit the fire aspect change depending on what fuel you use to create it so, i'd believe you :P

  • @Blunty3000 Even though it's real, it's actually fake. Your mind is just tricking your eyes, 9kjamal9k is really observant. In fact, it's actually a phone!

  • @Blunty3000 they just can't stop arguing now can they?

  • @9kjamal9k Not all fire is the orangey red you see in wood fires...

Take magnesium fire for instance, it's white

    copper is green

  • @9kjamal9k Really, you can clearly see it doesn't make contact? What are you expecting, metallics to catch fire like paper? Why do fake special effects when you can do it for real and get same result. I could blast my phone with a deodorant fueled fire and it'll still work, all it's doing is briefly heating the metal casing. At worst you might get some slight warping of the case, the electronics are still well protected.

  • @9kjamal9k Depends on the temp of the fire.

  • Indiana Jones Camera made by Sony

  • @AppleTalker1 SONY LISTEN TO THIS MAN

  • is the camera out for sale now? or only in Australia because I cant find it anywhere in my city(US). by the way this is the best review for a electronic device Ive ever seen man thanks.

  • Them flames we're so realistic ..... not :l

  • Awesome video Blunty! Made me lawl

  • Yay, go Sony!

  • hats off sony

  • What a crazy man...

  • Heh, you should have tried to leave it in the pants' pocket and put them in the washer. No damn electronics ever survived full washer cycle =) (If I spelled something wrong - sorry, not native speaker)

  • did u try sea water because some people forget about in their pockets????????????????????????/

  • i did that wen i was 13 ...''the fire trick'' the can blowed up and scared jesus , christ , and my spirit right out of me

  • lets hope the use the technology for there other devises

  • I wish apple made their products more industructable such as the iPod touch and iPhone. No idea how reliable the ipad is so I won't judge that. Anyway great video it's nice to see what flaws a product may have as well as the pros.

  • Im sorry but a professional photographier going up a side of a mountain... or the great ice fields of Georgia you'll have a more professional camara for the occasion

  • @matrixfoxtard How, exactly, did you come to the idiotic assumption that this was aimed at the "professional photographier" market? (also, please learn to spell photographer)
