Just because something is a space RTS don't make it a SoSE clone (it's not Universe but Empire). There are only few good space RTS' out there, and I'm sure gonna try this to see if it's one of em.

Sins of a Solar Empire, nice game, also a space RTS. Although I prefer games like Total War or Star Wars Empire at War. World map overview with real time battles, in space or on the ground I don' t care :)

@unharmonix I played multiplayer a few times, but there's almost no one on it anymore, or they never respond to one of my messages. and I play without complex, I only use the moded shortcuts when I want to play skirmish against the computer of single player campain

I like the conceptual design of this game, but like someone else said its extremely buggy. It wont let me play for longer than 20 - 30 min... I get some error and it closes the application down. I'm guessing the problem lies in the cashe not being renewed, it gets full and then the game crashes.

I love the game, except the skirmishes/online/LAN gameplay, the fact that you only get like 6 different ships, if that, and the agonizingly slow scroll speed. I took me 5 minutes to find my base on the mini-map and after that I slowly crept my way across the map to work on by base that comprized of one "building". then I said screw it and went back to singleplayer. cool game though.

you need nvidias 93.71 drivers to run this game, laptops cannot run it because the driver is not supported.

i think i know your problem,

if you have windows xp and if you have it longer than a month i think you have to update your video card.

do this at microsoft update, its free and than your problem may be solved. i had the same problem, and it worked for me.
