Phantoms have 1 HP. They're not meant to be powerhouses. However, when they get a decent weapon, they can pack a punch. Their main purpose is to soak up an enemy attack, but if they dodge and counter, all the better! Plus, if a phantom doesn't die on the turn it's summonned, then the summonner can move and attack freely while you keep the phantom. There's really zero reason NOT to summon....
@starfox416 ? Ewan's summons have, rng wise, horrible stats in comparison to knoll's. One should take advantage of a Druid significantly higher caps with Ewan, seeing as he has the potential to cap said better caps... unlike knoll... which is why Ewan as a summoner is generally considered to be a waste.
No, it's based on your luck stat. I set up a wall and kept summoning phantoms on the same spot and 5/8 times I got a Steel Axe, 2/8 times I got a Killer Axe, and 1/8 times I got a Devil Axe.
like on the easiest map ever...
