Dungeons in Daggerfall is the absolute worst......its like an infinite maze..... and In Oblivion or morrowind,, without the recall spell, i still can get out of the dungeon, but in Daggerfall.....its hell..

Aaah, they completly remove the bashing doors action... Aah what a shame :( It was nice to be able to break indoors without having to lockpick.

they dont make them as big of maps any more...

They need to make them hard like zelda was or something like that...

lol, walking from one end of the map to the other in this game would take several hours it was so big (the continent warp caused a glitch with a main storyline quest making it impossible to complete in a timely manner).

Bethesda came out and admitted that the majority of the map was randomly generated, and they just went through to make sure that everything was stable. But still, an extremely massive game.

I never found out about the "anchor" ability, thus I had to walk all the way back to the exit when I found the item I was looking for. Talk about a waste of time! I sat for four months with this game, and never grew tired of it. I reached level 13 as a Rogue. Sound issues mentioned here are common, and a good reason for noone to use a headset when playing this game.

if you thought morrowind was too much to own daggerfal will definitely be too much to own lol ^o^ this game was huge. I for once never managed to finish it.

I have have TES 3 but im getting a little bored and i cant get oblivion so i might get arena or daggerfall they look fun. Is there anything special i need to run it on pc?

O and I think for daggerfall and Arena you need DOSBox .70

You either need a computer that can run DOS, but even then you probably need an application that slows down your proccesser. Or, get a good computer, and put DOSBox on it, a free emulator that comes with the arena download (I think. If not, they link to it).

Oh, and patience. You need a lot of patience, and a little bit of computer knowledge, to get this running (and running well). And playing it. Arena is easy, but in Daggerfall, you will die. A lot.

Yes, you must run a dos shell emulator, such as wine, or (most commonly) dosbox...

Also, you must be able to script if you are running a bootlegged version of daggerfall, and it IS hard...

Apparently loads of people had problems with windows 2000 because it wasn't fully backwards compatible. Xp did run it because it was backwards compatible. now i am going to put it on vista soon and vista is fully backwards compatible. no complaints or problems have arisen with vista as such yet.

I got arena- it is very hard at first, but has every provence. Runs very well I might add.

I have version 0.72, I use Ctrl-Alt-F5 which starts/stops the recording. It saves it to the Dosbox\Capture folder in avi format.
