@thecynicalamerican Whats your opinion on having biological children to adoption? Personally, I think people should change their attitude in popular trend of conceiving children by traditional values and beliefs. Though, poverty, and in relation, lack of education, contribute to a proliferate number of births, its FUCKING common sense to stop having children in an economic deficit situation. In other words, you cant sustain a growing population in a country as such, hoping that things will get
Why do people always blame it on the government even though it's mostly their fault. They are too lazy to get jobs!
There's nothing to be ashamed being poor. The Philippines is not alone in this kind of sufferings. I take this video positively as an eye opener to the real situation. It happens now in the present society but it can never ever stay this way forever. There is freedom of speech & press here. You can express openly your ideas / message. People can take it constructively ... I noticed some pictures are old compilation of event put together extensionally.
Never trust a filipino! But most of all...most of all...never, never, never, never, ever, give them any money.
You will be leaving yourself open for a sham job, scam job or even a group mugging. Nevertheless, if you do give them money, just remember one thing...you heard it from me first.
Don't blame the people for being poor..they are people born in a family of poverty...no education..nothing...so the only way for them to survive is either beg, steal, whatever it takes...yeah they can be doing something productive or legal or whatever, but it's hard for a person in such situation especially if that person is weak minded, desperate, hungry, no education, etc. it's easy to criticize them when you're not in their shoes.
poverty in third world countries such as the philippines are the result of corrupt governments and the post world wars...Poor people cannot be blamed for being poor or being born poor...who wants to be living the way they are..im pretty sure if they've been given the same opportunities as well off people or if they have been born in a family who has a history of being rich..they won't be poor...
For those people reading the comments...don't listen to KOLDEXX21..he or she is a devil worshipper and adores HITLER...and what's worst he or she is a fellow filipino...please don't listen to that fuck!
Sorry but I hate the government... I mean look at the economy right now. It's not our fault, it's their fault. Do I have to remind you guys that the president cheated "it's" way on elections to get there? What kind of government is that huh? Blaming others for their mistakes... Hell they should be locked up! Lives are at risk here and yet where are they? Making media appearance, showing their good sides "FAKE!", clearing their names of the crimes they did, counting their.. no.."OUR" money...
Fuck the government! All they do is take money from all people! Rich or poor, it doesn't matter to them as long as they get money!
This kind of so-called Government is doing something about this... Covering it up.
Telling people it's under control. What is? Our wallet? They're doing anything about it? Nope, if they get hit hard by media, they just do some charity project that lasts about 2 to 3 days... then what? Leave them like they were.
their government does not care and allows it instead of teaching birth control, and no jobs and has laws where that u need a college degree to get a job. every one knows that most phil college degress is not worth anything due to that they r still behind on technolgy, their government even does teach the people about how to save money and too many corrupt officials
To Johnymarder: You said "I have been to the Filippines, Pilipinas, Philippines they can't make their mind up how their own country is spelled". For your info, most country has each native names, then their internationally known name. As for "Filippines" so far you're the only one I'm aware that is using it. I can tell you are not that educated. It is obvious.
Yes, iI agree that lazy bums are scum. But in a country like the Philippines, a lot of these people really have no chance of getting it better. It's a stupid mentality that a lot of filipinos have- move to the city to get a better life- when the outcome is also ending up out on the street begging. And much much worse for a lot of children who gets abandoned by their own parents because of so-called desperate poverty and drugs, etc. These kids only way to go is to beg on the street.
I was not targetting the Philippines in particular, there are lazy bums all over the world who can't be bothered to think. Here in the UK we have lots of people like that also. Many are from rich families and went to expensive Universities, but they still sit about waiting for ANYONE else to help them. No, lazy useless bums are just that! No matter where they are from or what their circumstances. As a boy, I was once as poor as many of those people I see in the PHP. I done something about it.
When you go to the Philippines instead of handing these beggars your fake money, please give them something else like food to eat. If you give them money, they never get to keep it but the so-called gang or filipino asshole, scum mafia will. So give them real help by giving them even a piece of left over sandwich and that is enough to actually make them feel better. Don't give them fake money because they will only get beaten up by the scumbags.
I have been to the Filippines, Pilipinas, Philippines (they can't make their mind up how their own country is spelled) many times and I have seen poor people selling papers, water and all sorts in the street & good luck to them for that. I have also seen lazy people who just wait for foreigners and they think we are cash cows. I have no sympathy for the lazy bums who can't be bothered to even think. I always have fake money in my pocket and whenever I am "begged at", I hand out some reality.
These lazy, poor people you say arealso victims of gangs who force them to go out on the street and beg, prostitute, and whatever horrible things they have to do. It's called SURVIVAL. Most of these beggars are children with really no choice but to do what they have to do to it. It's horrifying for any child to go through this but this is their reality, sadly. Their either been orpahned, abused, or plainly neglected and left on the street to survive this nightmarish reality.
Wife and I support two families in Manila. The kids getting an education, and I am happy. The thing is that for every job available, there are 100 young educated ready to take half pay to get it. My wife of 19 years and I go every couple of years. Her family is there. I see these kids all over. but have never been confronted with anything like child porn. Sure it is there, but not so as it is readily seen. Or am I blind
For 10 million Pinoy families -- or 57% of the population -- recent gains of the peso against the US dollar have not changed their well-being. one in every three (30%) or 5 million families said they were better off before the peso gained strength and averaged to about 45 against the dollar in 2007. - Social Weather Station survey conducted from September 2 to 5, 2007
