  • Holy shit that was scary. Glad he's alright.

  • lucky, 50 feet lower and smack!

  • This is why I don't strap myself to my kite! Scary stuff..

  • damn, i am not going to try looping my glider any time soon.. nice reaction of pulling the reserve. he broke free of the hangstrap because the keel broke or??

  • i think i would stick to powered flight.

  • I'm glad he's okay.

  • It looked liked a hard landing....no flare on the reserve shoot, and two long poles dangling from his feet. Still better than the alternative I suppose!

  • The glider still came down slower than the pilot.

  • @budyzr63 only because the pilot and the controlframe weren't attached anymore..

  • How do his big balls fit into his harness ^^?

Damn, great pilot; must be quite hard to pull the resque in free fall...

  • Damn man, that was close! Glad your friend made it out of that one o.k.!

  • that would be a hard thing to watch, glad he made it think ill stick to simple things ...lol

  • Scary!!

Thats why you shouldnt loop a hanglider...If slightly to slow...Then death is a BIG

    posibillity..

Im glad that this turned out well enough!

  • wow... nice save!

  • Omg! Da wär jo fascht en eidgenoss druuf gange!! Und das alles nach em rütli schwur?! Wi oft muess de eidgenosse koenig blocher no säge, das uusländer produkt schrott sind?

Joh, mir eidgenosse kämpfed no für sschwiz! Leck mer am arsch!

  • I wonder who filmed this, and who the pilot is? Haligrat is e great site... Love to go back there again . But this clip i epic! No HG pilot wants to experience this!

  • why would anyone loop a glider? its just gambling with your life

  • @HOPPERFZR its fairly safe if done correctly need plenty of speed and keep it smooth never try in turbulant air. You are so alive when so close to death. Plus it all adds to the development of better aircraft designs with everyone benefits from ; )

  • @CraigRidley1 good point

  • @HOPPERFZR

For fun. Like riding a bike with no hands, or driving a car while using the cell phone.

  • @HOPPERFZR Bah, he cheated - he knew he had a chute.

  • Glad he made it...jeeze that was close!...great filming under pressure!..am just starting out on HG and i def will be getting a backup chute!...i was told that most hang gliders will take 11 g's..easily..so what happened here mate?...was it due to the loop or some other structural defect...thank you for posting

  • @FSXISCOOL , 6G might be a fairer figure, but the real problem is that he did not have enough speed at the top of the loop for the centrifugal action to swing him round over the glider and he fell on to the underneath of the glider probably creating 2 to 4 negative G and that’s something the glider couldn’t take, being designed to take mainly positive G.

He literally broke the back of the glider.

  • Fast emergency action saved him. A most dramatic video.

  • I did some parachute jumps and i enjoyed it alot, but the safety side of things make me too nervious, would hanggliding be a better saver option, but still have the buzz.?

  • Where is that?

  • Damn, that was close. He had a system where he separated from the hang glider and then open his reserve chute. It fully inflated very close to the ground. Even base jumps are higher than that altitude. Lucky guy. Good to see he's ok. Safe flying guys. The good thing being alive is that you have plenty of flights ahead of you. Rock on!

  • ya would like to see your big ass-hole filming one of your best friends about to die would love to see how you would manage the cam u ugly fag learn how to fly before talking shit

  • dead or alive your best friend? I hope alive. regarding if I know how to fly, I only know how to fly with at least 2 engines.

  • @zanfozanfani numnutz

  • Geees that was close! What like like 1 second more spare??

And he was so close to that loop also! Just a few more mphs!

  • a little strange but ok

  • didn't know, that they are equipped with reserve shutes, nice one.

    be safe.

  • ka booooooooom

  • Was hät er sich broche? haha

  • How much would you get a cheap one for ????

  • He obviously did not have enough speed to complete the loop. Most likely his body fell into the crossbar and sail, breaking the glider in half.

  • I think he tucked

  • Good throw. Did he cut away? Didn't think he could.

  • heck yes, for sure mate,

those things how you call them, is safer than a motor clicle hehe give it try cheer

  • How do they release themselves so quick from the hanglider?

  • actually u dont. what happened here was that the glider broke in half and as soon as parachute opened, it ripped most of the sail off with some structure. But the whole triangle was still with the pilot. safe flying, peace

  • you guys wear parachutes in those things?!?

  • learn more about taking videos....but...good shot;)

  • thats is why in 22 years of flying hangies i have never attempted a loop......no gain poss lots of pain

  • "HEILIGER STROHSOCK!"

    god bless the swiss

  • Bit more speed next time John (not that ther will be a next time if you have any brains).

  • WOW!

  • nice flying

  • hanggliders are not made for negative g-force :D

  • Blieb der Pilot unverletzt?

    Did the pilot remain intact?

  • why did you put the dam camra down?

  • Maybe he thought he could help, rather than film a possible death?

  • How could he possibly help someone hundreds of feet in the air. And if you ask, you'll find most adventerous pilots would like to have their crashes filmed, so that others can learn from them.

  • in the heat of the moment you can hardly blame the cameraman! :P

  • very true

  • foi a preocupacao com o amigo ne achavam q ele ia morrer

  • o cara parou de filmar bem na hora..

mas msmo assim mto bm o video.

  • CARALHO!!!
