  • Actually, he was at sea for more than 1150 days, so, more than 3 years. His boat is an 80 foot cargo schooner, able to hold a lot of non-perishables. One of the main goals of the voyage was to exist without resuppying or getting assistance. So, he caught and dried fish, sprouted beans for greens and captured rain water!

  • 2&1/2 yrs at sea, how did they supply the ship for that long?

  • Thanks, two versions of the same song *Into-the-Mystic*, can't remember who performs the blugrass fiddle version, but I bought it off of iTunes, so, you could search by the title and probably find it. The second version is by *Joe-Cocker*. and yes, I thought that song was appropriate too!

  • Great Video, great segment of the project. Thank you so much for posting.

I am curious what the songs are, so matching to the scene.

  • Bon Voyage!

    I'm gonna do tt someday.

Just want to find out.. how much funds did these guys raise to embark on this journey? Did they buy the vessel?

  • It is actually "Anguilla BWI" presumably where Mr. Stowe has the vessel registered.

  • The location painted on a boat is called its "hailing port" and doesn't necessarily reflect where the boat might be from. In this case, it is likely the place of registration, though, I don't that for sure, for the schooner Anne.

  • Congrats!!!! Have fun on the trip, and best of luck!

Why does it say Antigua on the back when you left from New York?
