I'd have to say after thorough research the HP 2133 is far supieror to the EEE. Performance differences in cpu are minimal; only real difference is the battery life as the VIA uses more power. Additionally the HP will run a little warmer. HP's feature set is much more robust, and by the way, Windows should be run on no UMPC, especially not Vista.

The boot up test with a not configured Vista (all widgets activated, etc...) is useless...

The size comparison with the Eee PC 701 is useless too and there's still exist a lot of pics on the web...

Why HP takes 4 times more to boot:

1 - Vista is too bloated for UMPC's

2 - normal HD (instead of Solid state drive)

3 - maybe CPU

Keep in mind any windows (XP or Vista) will take longer to boot after some months on a daily usage (install / uninstall software, catch some spyware, clean some virus, etc)...

mm, not bad, but 2 minutes to boot is outrageous... sigh all because of a shitass CPU. What a shame, the HP looks so nice, but it's only on the outside, on the inside it's ugly.

I would prefer the EEE as my on-the-go device. EEE 900 more specifically. Let's see what Dell has, until then, Asus is still the champion (in terms of both form AND function)
