There are so much seriousness in some of the comments.

Wether you appreciate or not this film, you have to keep in mind the dude was 26 year old when he filmed it. I don't believe it was meant to blow people's minds or revolutionize cinema. Considering this, I think it's an honest effort, and it made me laugh. And I think it's just awesome to discover another side of the comic genius that is Louis CK.

Stop criticizing and try doing something instead.

This is funny because I WAS that guy in the beginning stealing shit from the shelves. I even got caught redhanded one time and as I locked eyes with the clerk I put the shit in my coat and walked out. She didn't say anything until later when I was there BUYING something this time. No, to be honest, I thought it was pointless, long and empty. I like louis ck a lot, but this wasn't anywhere near as good as his newer work. The guy is totally talented now, but after years of making mistakes and learning from them. This is a good example of it; because of bad work he's done in the past he learned from it and got better. A lot of people are sucking his dick for this, just because it's louis ck. Come back down from that hallucination before you fall and get hurt.

So given that idea, I still would probably not like it anymore, but it also provides some insight for me to better understand the context. I have a strong dislike for post modern stuff that's fundamentally pointless and presented as if I ought to be attracted to pointless things. If this movie is similar to that idea, it wouldn't help.

I don't know what C.K's opinion on his own short film might be, maybe he feels it's crap or could have been better than he made it, as might be case, taking in to account his usual perspective of overly self-critical thought.
