@piscataway53 its not fake all of olive gardens head chefs are sent off to italy to learn the recipes. this is the master of the academy they are sent to.
my hubby loves this dish at Olive Garden. Now I'ma make it for dinner, and no need to spend much money either, when I can make double the quantity as the same price they charge u ;) Thanks for the posting!
Great dish. I made the pasta last night, I make it without a machine, although I do have one coming, adds a nice touch fresh pasta. I followed as much as I could, if you noticed he doesn't measure anything and doesn't mention how much to use, which may be a good thing. It came out really good. The garlic had a nice nutty flavor and you could taste the complexity, for such a simple dish it had a lot of flavor. For those that found it bland, you could try using more garlic.
really? the Parmesan cheese should have been the salty aspect of this dish. if a problem with saltiness would arise with this dish, i would expect it to be too salty. did you put the right amount of ingredients?
Ciao.. the point is that pasta in cream cheese sauce is made with chicken but never with full breasts only some shredded bits of chicken or beef. Olives are missing from this recipe which is a total turn off. Where is basil, cilantro or oregano?
There is just one problem with this kind of recipes..they have nothing to do with Tuscany. For one thing, but not the only one, in Tuscany (or Italy for that matter) pasta is NEVER eaten with meat that way. You can have meat sauce, but it is a completely different matter. This is just an adaptation of Italian ingredients to the American diet. Sorry folks, but I know what I am talking about.
haha i know. :) watching this i was thinking the same thing. i've been living in italy for almost 2 years now and i never saw anyone use meat like that with pasta. it's just not done! :D that's the american way of bringing the first and second plate together.
ohhh delicious. I'm definitely gonna cook this one. Hmm, think I'm thinking of doing one with asparagus rather than spinach, and some parmesan on the chicken, Dunno why but, I prefer red wine. Italian's my favourite food by far. This guy is fantastic.
far better than the restaurant, and this cook is obviously more skilled than the guys working in an olive garden. i doubt they're using fresh ingredients there like he is here or you would at home.
wtf. The olive garden serves the most americanized italian food. I cant even say if its italian. People just surf on youtube for other cooking vids, The stuff they serve in italy is not like this at all. Although what he is cooking is much nicer than what they actually serve in the restaurant. He is using much nicer ingredients.
finally, a UT how to cooking video that doesn't make me want to gag -- great presentation, props, technique, instruction, and plating/presentation! Looking forward to tryin' this recipe and other OG Cooking Vids/recipes.
why is this nothing like the Tuscan garlic chicken I cook on the saute line? I put bianco chicken, roast garlic cloves, spiniach, bell pepers, sun dried tomato's and garlic cream sause together and flip it over curly fett and put it on a plate and we call it "tuscan garlic chicken".
Brilliant. We had it for dinner last night and for the first time, I actually enjoyed what I cooked. The family is impressed. This is an excellent recipe. Grazie Paolo. Alimento bello. Desideriamo più. Cucini prego più.

Chef.. OG has an appetizer called Sicilian Shrimp Scampi. I love that!! Would you have the HOW TO for that ? If not can you make one?

What kind of white wine should I use? I dont drink wine so I would not know what kind to use : (
Preci831 2 years ago
you can use chicken/beef/vegetable broth or stock instead
Sadin15 2 years ago
That's a good question. Did you get you question answered?
I was wondering if I could omit the wine, but a broth in place of it may work.
