Nice, but the guitarist need to layout when the pianist is doing his thing. It's a Dilla joint, but it sounds too 70's fusionish with that constant whining guitar. The drummer could be a little bit more in the pocket and lay off the ride somewhat, but great playing all around.

This joint is a cover, my or our, adaptation of a melody and chord progression written by pianist Ahmad Jamal in the 70's. In this meeting, it was my aesthetic decision to include, what in your opinion is 'whiny 70's fusion' sounding guitar, and some pocket, which is why we called it a cover of "G's Stakes is High" but it's not a Dilla joint, we love him but this is our joint.
