  • thats great stuff man now i must sub to ya

  • @thomas3120

Not yet. I have downloaded bB and stella though, and plan on doing a game on that platform(2600), which dose have its limitations.I'm a big fan of the Activision 2600 games, from the graphics and game play down to the box art. That has inspired me to create a game called Driving Range, that I'm trying to port to HTML5.The game will look sound and hopefully play in your browser of choice like those old Activision gems for the 2600.

  • Cool GB pick ups there Thomas and not a bad find when it comes to that Menacer light gun too. I have never seen them either.

An atari 7800 mod... drooooooooooooool! You lucky lucky man!

  • @OldSchoolNYCGamer Thanks Sid! :) Yeah don't know about frogger on the GB...just seemed a bit too laggy :/

I got the Menacer cleaned up and can see a red light come on when I pull the trigger, but having a bit of trouble getting it to work on my crt TV...may have to mess around with the brightness, etc..?

The 7800 has some interference issues (it's from Sean)..figure if I can sort it out, I'll give it back to him.

  • Great Finds Man. Strikers 1945 is awesome. Me and my Bro Maddog did a Lets Play on it not to long ago, Classic Arcade awesomeness! Great classics for the Game Boy too.

  • @hessrf1981 Thanks Twitch :) having a lot of fun playing it :D

  • I bought Strikers 1945 new BITD for around $18.00 from BB.It's "almost" a pixel perfect version of Strikers 1945 II from the arcade.I guess it got lost in translation, which is cool, cuz the 1st one is minus the flying pancake. In the Hunt is another "almost" pixel twin of the arcade version for the PSone.

  • @Mu6502 Yeah having a blast playing it :) Was checking out some of your vids, do you make 2600 games?

  • nice range of pickups dude:) the intellivision game will be a bit confusing without the insert??

  • @minks36 Thanks Minks :) Yeah, don't have an Intellivision yet. I think you can download the inserts(can't remember where atm though)

  • yesss crazy taxi

  • Nice pickups

  • @daafies2 Thanks David :)

  • Cool finds! Frogger was awesome on the PS1.

  • @Baruracrash Thanks! still haven't had a chance t try it...hopefully this evening

  • @thomas3120 Hopefully it lives up to the nostalgia I have for it!

  • R-types and r-type delta, viewpoint, raiden project, parodius which is a pal exclusive, the gradius, twinbee and salamander deluxe packs which were jap exclusives for ps1. probably best to try on an emulator before you buy.

  • @gamerdude0 Awesome! thanks for the suggestions :)

  • Nice find with the Menacer. They seem to be kinda uncommon for some reason. I remember my friend had one back in the day. Very cool how even back then they were experimenting with wireless peripherals.

  • @RetroGameTech Thanks Martin :) Yeah having a few issues with it. One being not sure how the batteries go in lol (the sticker on the back is a bit vague). One way though, a red light stays on. I have the menacer cart but might have to mess around with it a bit more :/

  • miss working at goodwill i use get ps2, gamecube , xbox system $0.50 each and game each $1

  • @mkps1988 Cool, I bet you got a bunch of great stuff working there :)

The one I go to, everyone there is pretty laid back, and there are no prices marked on stuff.

  • @thomas3120 i did like sega cd,with 8 games and 4 ps2 and 2 xbox, 10 gba sp and lot anime too

    ,

  • Some real clean looking cds man! Twisted metals I remember those from back in 1997!! Good blow em ups!! lol animorphs weird man. A nice big pickup and a lot of variation! I have the menacer receiver and no gun lol... Need to grab one. Hope you get yours working. That TAC 2 looks sweet too. lots of awesome stuff. My goodwills aren't nearly as cool...

  • @LoricElf Thanks Loric :) Yeah Animorphs is a rpg, not really into the early rpg's. May have to mess around a bit more with the menacer. Would like to find a downloadable user manual for it. I have a more technical pdf on all the light guns for the Genesis, will take a look at that (think it covers the Justifier, menacer, etc..)

  • I just got a bagged game with a different disc in it but luckily the game inside was decent. Twisted Metal is a series I've always meant to try. I could send you my broken INTV to fix and borrow for 6 months. ^_^ Nice Coleco pickups, I never find any. A Menacer is a great find, I see bad galvanizing all the time. Sweet video box. A Tac2, I hear good things too. Crazy Taxi, classic. Robocop1 arcade only, looking into getting a PCB of it. Taito Legends 2, great collection. Good stuff Thomas. :)

  • @TheBladeJunker Thanks Blade :) What's wrong with your Intell.? (or what is it doing?)

Cleaned up the Menacer...having a hard time figuring out how the batteries go in LOL. It has a little sticker in the back but not that clear. I know one row of AAA goes in same direction and the other row is opposite. One way the red light inside stays on. Tried it both ways but nothing is happening, may have to open it up again and tinker a bit. Ahh yes Robocop 1 in the arcade, really liked it :)

  • @thomas3120 The INTV wasn't doing much when I put in carts but I haven't done a proper troubleshoot yet. Lol I wasn't the first one in there since when I popped it open the shielding had fingerprints all over it. Have you thought about adding an AC jack option to the Menacer, if its anything like the Super Scope it will suck batteries dry in a matter of hours? You'll get that battery problem figured out, the guts looked fairly intact but maybe one or more component is bad. :)

  • well done.

  • @coachmillsblog Thanks Mills!

  • great pick ups man

  • @thepookninjatwo Thanks Brian :)

  • Awesome Thomas congrats on the finds.

  • @jboypacman Thanks Jboy! :)

  • So as I comment you pull out Taito Legends 2, nice!

  • Strikers a great game from Psikyo. I play "Plus" a lot. Taito Legends 2 has quite a few great shooters for the Playstation 2. Raystorm and a couple of Darius games are on there and can be found for about $4.

  • @bray8916 Hey Bray, yeah really liking Strikers. Taito Leg. 2 is looking pretty awesome, a lot of great games on there :)

  • Really great pick ups tom! Great gets on the GameBoy Games I can never find enough of them in my area and I never hesitate to pick them up when I see them. I love me some retro handhelds. I use to have that Asteroids remake on the PS1 it really is pretty good.

  • @GeekerDays Thanks John :) I may have a few GB games I'll be getting rid of. Some rpg's in there. I'll send you a pm

  • @thomas3120

Nice i'm all about the RPG's on the go! :)

  • Some nice pickups. I'm jealous, I've been to 3 different thrift shops in my area and none of them had games or consoles. Oh well. I think I played that Asteroids back in the day and it wasn't bad. I've heard nothing but bad things about Frogger though.

  • @sglider Thanks Dan! Is there a Goodwill in your area? ...or a fleamarket? Here I've had some better luck going to those.

  • @thomas3120

Yeah, tried two Goodwills and one Salvation Army, no dice. We do have a flea market that's hit or miss. I'll keep looking though.

  • About PS1 shooters, go ahead and check out Donpachi, Dodonpachi, Einhander, Gradius Gaiden, Harmful Park, Raiden Project, Raiden DX, R-Type Delta, Xevious 3D, etc, etc :P

  • @cromraigh Ahh cool! thanks very much :D Will check them out
