  • I don't know why, but this masterpiece always makes me cry. Maybe it's because it is perfect, or the tones...

  • what a lovely music ... :)

  • Captain Price?

  • Anne of Green Gables!!! :)))

  • No man has ever asked me to dance to such a classic and rich piece of music as this, but if he had, he would have won me that instant.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I am enchanted.

  • @RadioAshFM real men don't dance , they sit , sweat and curse

but damn they listen to good classical music as well

  • @ste666fan Hahaha, then perhaps me not being asked for a dance as finally been explained. :)

Bravo on sharing exquisite taste in music.

  • @RadioAshFM right back at you

  • Let me say something simple... This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Enough... Mike

  • @mrkeel2 If I may reply to my own post... My apologies... I would love to meet a voluptuous woman who could dance to this music, or at least try... We could go to Edelweiss restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas, and dance the night away...

  • I love Waltzes. This is my favorite.

  • What a mustache that is.

  • Seriously, why do you care what nationality the composers are? It's kind of sad that the people I see commenting on the videos for classical music are the biggest racists I know. Just listen, and enjoy.

  • @TheMightyPandah Agreed. His nationality has nothing to do with his talent.

  • Such a lovely piece of music. Replay button gets used a lot here!

  • I remember this from rollercoaster tycoon and was set to find it! 1:39 I started to recognise the music :)

  • I feel like dancing to this with the one I love. Oh, wait... I'm 13 and he doesn't know I exist.

  • Awesome Music !

  • Just because someone said that Strauss was Austrian and not German, doesnt mean lets discuss about the holocaust and world war 2. I DONT CARE WHAT YOUR GRANDMOTHER/GRANDFATHER DID 60-70 YEARS AGO!!. JUST LISTEN TO THE MUSIC.

  • oh my god how did this turn into a holocaust discussion board

also: this is hitchcock's theme song.

  • Austria has more pride in it's history than Germany does, lol. It is a fact that Austria is MORE German than Germany.

  • @kittykatro are you an austrian or german? no? so who are you to judge or say something stupid like this?

  • @kittykatro and you are even proud of that? well than tell him thanks for helping killing 6 millions jews, you moron! i've lived here all my life in Vienna, my grandparents were against the ns-regime, so live your life in romania, study and discuss your own past and don't judge the history of our country!

  • @JetsToBrazil05 dude, whats up with you and your Jews? Yes, it is very regretful that the bastards killed so many jews, but he killed even more Others such as Soviets, homosexuals, gypsie, etc... in excess of 30 million

  • Masterpiece....

  • 3 people are deaf

  • quien puso esos 3 pulgares abajo no sabe de musica

  • Oh god, the carousel from Rollercoaster tycoon.

    xD

  • @smeedge childhood memories... you have awoken them. :'> sniff

  • I love this song - I had no idea what the name of it was...

  • @StaraptorEmpoleon Never mind, I remember now! I remember hearing it in cartoons. Beautiful song.

  • at last I found this song! searching for about 6 months for it!

(I first heard this at tivoli in denmark)

  • o my goad, i went tp my schools graduation dance and it sucked, it was all shity modern music, not a chance to dance the way it`s supposed to, i wish there was more real music like this

  • @trombonista92 yea that happened to me too

  • Merveilleux ! j'adore cette valse qui me rappelle de si bons souvenirs!!!

  • Strauss was Austrian... not German...

  • In Strauss's time, there was not such a great difference as there is now. They were both German speaking and, if not for the problem of Austria's own empire and Catholicism, the two would have quite happily become a single state.

  • @ShevatheUkraine Both of you are wrong! He is not a German or Austrian,... He is 'ein Wiener' - from Vienna! Easily the most beautiful city in the world, and that's what this song is all about!

  • @TheSerpentKing33 And in which country is that Mr.Clever? ;)

  • @DarkMikautje In Austria "Mr. not Clever". Really you would need to live in Vienna in order to understand me. Wien is different it's not like the rest of Austria! Vienna is like an own state in Austria. But if you're not born here or lived here for a long time you will never understand it bro'. Wiener Blut all the way! Wien is the heart of the world!

  • @ShevatheUkraine Austrian and German are really the same thim

  • @MNK2011 Saying that is like saying Scotland and England is the same thing, or that America and Canada is the same thing.

  • Austria really is a german country, it always has been, it would have been annexed by prussia into the empire after the austio-prussian war, but was turned into a puppet state, it wasn't because it was catholic and had hungary at the time, but austia was one of the german kingdoms much like bavaria. it is my opinion that austia is home to the greatest number of spectacular composers to date, and it was the austrian emperors who patronized the most not the holy roman emperor or prussian kaiser.

  • @giltan15 they are divided, austria and so are the south german states which before wasn't part of prussia have the south german culture and mostly are catholic and are under austria's sphere of influence. the north german confederation or prussia didn't make austria a puppet, it's a war of german unification to unite germany.

  • @MNK2011 Not at all, sorry. The dialects in the two countries are absolutely different and sometimes both nations don't like each other very well. I know it because I am from Germany. :-) But sometimes we are very close to our dear southern neighbours. Austria is a very beautiful country with warm-hearted people and of course good food and wine.

  • @SgtOBrien my mother is from Austria, my father from Germany - I love both countries

yes, the dialects are different - especially the Viennese from "proper German", even my limited knowledge of German, I can hear the difference

  • @ShevatheUkraine That's like saying, West Virginian, not Virginian,

  • @ShevatheUkraine Strauss wa a Human! Imagine there is no countries..It's easy if you you try :)

  • @ShevatheUkraine austria is part of greater "Germania"

  • @ShevatheUkraine Austrians share the same background as Germans do. Also for those of you who think W.A Mozart was Austrian, he was not. During that time Austria was part of Germany, they share the same ethics, thoughts, and what not.

  • @killanick87 Wrong! Unlike Germans, Austrians tend to have a mixture of German, Italian, and Slavic ancestry. Those three ethnicities have also had strong cultural influences on Austria.

  • a valsa no seu melhor, graças a Strauss ll

  • Beautiful for any with musical ears .I am not German but admire how many great musicians German Reich produced. Gift to civilisation

  • Being German this is very special to me.

  • king of waltz music

  • awesome - i remember my daddy used to teach me to dance waltz with this music... lovely memories - thank you

  • lovely!!!

  • No hay palabras para expresar mi admiracion por tan grandioso compositor y su bella musica sin par. I have no words to express my admiration for such a great composer and his great melodies.
