i dont believe how a band can make a song so COMPLICATED. its up there with bohemian rhapsody (sorry if i spelled it wrong) for GROUNDBRAKING songs.

just listen to every little note, half-bend, percussion item, harmonies, different sections, guitars used, bass lines, drum beat, and the whole vibe to the song!!!

there are few songs that can become this extrodinary and still stand out as a classic. this isnt the last we hear of Paranoid Android!

Muse is a good band to party or be stupid with friends. Radiohead is a great band to take your soul to a higher place. They are superior than Muse musically, lyrically , vocally , instrumentally. But if I were to take a roadtrip with my friends , I would choose Muse over Radiohead. They have different purposes , stop comparing.

I looove Radiohead, but you just proved how much of a bias tool you are with that comment. Musically and lyrically, yes Radiohead is USUALLY better. However, Matt Bellamy has shown more skill repeatedly then anyone in Radiohead at the use of guitar and piano both. Vocals? That is your opinion. However, Matt has a much broader range so technically he also gets the nod he on an unbias level.

@wanderlai77 Ive listened all of their albums (not one album in one sitting because their music becomes repetitive and boring after about 3 songs). Have you seen the song Pyramid Song played live? The timing on Thom's piano and his singing... I don't know how he does it. Muse almost never do it for me, Radiohead ALWAYS does... cant put it to words. But its how I know they are just way better. Oh... I heard Muse before I got into Radiohead... just a small detail. ;-)

Muse is good, their talented and sure have some good tracks but they are by no means even in the same league as Radiohead, Think about it, OK Computer is regarded by many critics as the greatest album of all time, I mean let's be realistic in comparisons at least. A band that I think would be comparable to Radiohead would be Sigur Ros as both are extremely influential although I think Radiohead is still on top by a good margin.

i think the reason alot of people compare muse and radiohead to each other is because they have no one else to compare them to. theyre both amazing band for completely different reasons. i think alot of their earlier stuff is proberly why people compare them but as theyve progressed theyve both gone down very different paths.

I just checked it out. You have to consider the visual effects and the camera angles. They can make something seem much more spectacular then it actually is. Radiohead's performance here was filmed in a very basic way, but still blows me away everytime. But i will agree that muse are really great live. Lets just say both bands are great in their own way.

It's strange it became their big breakthrough. Take Orgin of Symmetry, awesome album with awesome songs (at least what I think). I'm a huge Muse fan, but Absolution is a shit album, it's so flat and over-produced it makes me sick. Live, on the other hand, tracks from Abso absolutely fucking level an arena to the ground.

On the other hand, I find all Radiohead albums except Pablo to be absolute masterpieces, but live I was VERY underwhelmed by their performance. Maybe I caught a bad day, but I didn't feel like I got 40s worth out of the ticket.

But yeah, it's all down to experience and opinion.
