@BlackRoninMartialArt this is actually the aiki-ken style used by aikido practitioners to help put the principles (like irimi, tenkan, the concept of an opponent's center, etc.) of aikido into a more traditional perspective. these katas help to practice distancing and timing and are meant to supplement the open-hand training. the sword styles that influenced aikido were yagyu-shinkage ryu but mostly kashima shinto ryu
