I never saw or heard of this film until today, found it in library, looked intriguing, and then I sat tonight and watched the DVD. Easily one of the best and most emotional movies I've ever seen. A masterpiece which you wouldn't know from the trailer, or from the cast, but don't miss this. It's a staggering, soaring, brilliant work.

The Air I Breathe is the most underrated movie of it's generation, with brilliant acting from Brendan Fraser and Forest Whitaker. Each personality does his/her part in conveying their specific emotions, with great directing from Jieho Lee. It's a powerhouse ensemble that doesn't loosen it's grip, even in the most somber of scene.
i do not agree, its actually i think a good movie, ok there are lots of this "different point of views" movies, it may not be the best of them, but its a good movie. and talkin about cliché, isn't a cliché a part of reality, like leaf in autunm, snow in winter, ...

The hospital scenes were shot at my school, here in Mexico. They wanted to pull down the Mexico's flag for a scene but it was the day of the flag. We were all pissed off and argued a lot against them. It got pretty intense

Movie is good, however, it could have been great if it had better directing and storyline. Although there was some amazing acting on the part of all the actors, once Brendan Fraser's character dies you lose interest in the story. His character was the most powerful and poignant part of the movie, played so convincingly by generally underrated Mr. Fraser.

The movie was lousy, unfortunately. The script was incredible but lost most of its power under poor direction and omission of crucial scenes (prior to filming and post-production). The talent in this film was, unquestionably, top-tier. But the movie didn't play out as well as I had hoped it would. I got a chance to read the script and do some work for this movie's PR in early 2006 and was excited for its release. I found it a major let-down after having concocted my own scenes mid-read.

On this trailer it said the Sarah Michelle Gellar's character was LOVE but it was actually Sorrow and that Kevin Bacon's was Sorrow but it was Love. Did anyone else catch that? they mixed the two up. lol
The only segment in this movie worth watching is Brendan Frasier's clairvoyant gangster (Pleasure). The other three are rather dumb, to be honest. Kevin Bacon's segment is so ridiculously over-the-top that I laughed all the way through. You can't have one horribly bad segment in a movie like this without the whole thing crumbling apart.
I saw the movie about 4 days ago. And Brendan Fraser does an amazing job..So does Gellar even though Im not a huge fan of her. And it made me realize JUST how much each of us might be connected in a way whithout even realizing it..Loved the stories and the way each character showed much emotion..

apparently the music piece at the end is an original score by marcelo zarvos called 'happiness'. Have been looking everywhere for it though but no luck :(

Just what was that blood condition she had again? Why does the bag of money fall on her car, even after she drives away from where she hit him? Why aren't any of the police surrounding the building looking for that bag? -I can "suspend disbelief", but I've seen other movies that connected the segments better.
she didn't drive away when she almost hit that guy, i think. i believe she stayed there and had a short break down before the money hit the top of her car. but i'm not sure. i think that's what happened.

ive seen this one,crash and babylon i think there all the same however they all tell i good message, i like them, i love to see how people's lives link, it reminds us that were closer to each other than we all think

im gonna get alot of thumbs down for this, but CRASH was overrated, hyperlink movies have become so unoriginal. this one doesn't look much better. you want a good hyperlink movie? Amores Perros, the one that started this style of trend.
if anyone is interested, the director of this film is probably going to do neon genesis evangelion.

CRASH SUCKED NUTSACK.
The Air I Breathe was very unique and had great acting. Unlike Crash which had cliche' acting!

i don't think crash sucked, i thought it was good. but it was like an all american knock off of Iñarritu's or Meirelles' Films. it definitely did not deserve the best picture oscar.

apparently the music piece at the end is an original score by marcelo zarvos called 'happiness'. Have been looking everywhere for it though but no luck :(

This Movie was amazing. They must have done some bad publicity or advertising for this flick because it bombed at the box office. This movie was really good though. Great cast. Great story.
I just do not get why it did so bad.Hmm i could have made a 10x better trailer than that.

Just what was that blood condition she had again? Why does the bag of money fall on her car, even after she drives away from where she hit him? Why aren't any of the police surrounding the building looking for that bag? -I can "suspend disbelief", but I've seen other movies that connected the segments better.

she didn't drive away when she almost hit that guy, i think. i believe she stayed there and had a short break down before the money hit the top of her car. but i'm not sure. i think that's what happened.
