Ma insomma questa è matta....!!! Il suo canto di agilità è fenomenale, ma nel suo delirio isterico, all'inizio , invece di "Cadrà" le esce "Capra"...pensavo a uno scherzo dell'orecchio, ma anche in cuffia...le esce quasi sempre "capra"...per il resto le agilitàsono perfette...MA quanto vorrei che fosse meno isterica nel suo canto....

La posizione della ò e della a sono molto vicine nella bocca. Cantando suoni così corti e accentati, è facile che l'orecchio si confonda... è ancora più sensazionale con i suoni lunghi come un cantante possa spacciare una certa o per una u. Cioè cantando la o in un certo modo (che suona molto più piena della vera u), l'orecchio e il cervello, che conosce la parola, sentono una u.

i thought it was impossible for a mezzo to do better coloratura than Marilyn Horne, I was wrong! True Cecilia's voice is lighter, but she is incredible; beautifully connected range from top to bottom and glorious vocalizing. I am glad that a female voice tackles this castrato repertoire, as I am really not a big fan of male sopranists.

I downloaded the album on I-Tunes. It is simply beautiful, wonderful, I am thrilled. Sadly, I should have gone to a concert of Cecilia Bartoli in Zurich yesterday, but the poor lady was ill, so she couldn't come. I am looking forward to the replacement concert.

C'est incroyable au disque.... Mais elle l'est encore plus en concert (où l'on ne peut tricher...). Je l'ai entendue en Suisse, à Martigny le 1er septembre dernier : elle a chanté cet air "monstrueux" avec la même fougue et le même souffle. Quelle technicienne ! Mais surtout quelle musicienne !
