I am a Communications Major studying this speech at Western Washington University. Charlie wrote this beautiful work as a prelude to WWII. He saw it coming. This film was much more than just a film, it was a message that he hoped to give the world. Undoubtably this is a foundation that should be fought for by all people.

I delivered a segment of this speech (starting 2:00) for my acting class today. The second time my teacher had me deliver it, he had my classmates lie down and he told me to pretend like they soldiers dying in a medical ward and I was to speak to them. Suddenly, the power of those words and the horror of such evil and brutal violence hit me so hard and choked me up so bad, I was having difficulty giving my speech. It was an incredibly intense moment. This is such a beautiful speech.

This is a clever idea (perfect score choice) but with all due respect the result is quite mediocre. Once the music level of the score reaches its cresendo the speech is shadowed causing a disrupting experience. If you could re-edit and lower the audio of the score to a pleasant level the results would be much better. The speech istself should remain the focus of attention for the video...the music is just providing a pleasent enviroment for the viewer.
