They could well be the best 80's band ever, true :)..but U2 and INXS were up there also.

U2, i get...INXS, not so much, don't get me wrong, i dig "never tear us apart." but, more to the point, New Order is and will always be a million times better than INXS. that's my opinion. lest we forget, there was also, the clash (london calling was 1980 in america), the wedding present, jesus and mary chain, echo and the bunnymen, the fall, the pixies ('88), the cure, and a bunch of other bands, boyracer, husker du, happy mondays, the durruti column, etc. etc.
