  • This is shit...................

  • can someone explain to me what's so funny about Tommy's Bryant Gumbel joke? I dont get it

  • at 0.55, is Dubcek maybe doing bondage with a man? Maybe he's tied up and gagged? :)

  • How about being proud of being a human being?

  • I wish I could get that chorus song on my ipod!!

  • LOL Bryant Gumbol!!! I thought it was Steve Urkel.

  • Emily Osment looks so young it seems like yesterday she was Lily on Hannah Montana!!!! I'am & always will be a PROUD OSMENTOR!

  • Haha, I love the poem!

  • ´llol i love how sally brakes the chair.......her legs...she almost looks like a cartoon.....

  • Is it just me or do they seem just a tad nervous when they talk about racism lol? Brave of them to tackle it head on though...

  • The little blond girl is Emily Osment.

  • I thought it was the funniest episode ever, loved it.

  • if they wanted to be an average human, they should have picked asian bodies...jus' sayin'.

  • and we will mix the white and colors! One load, one world! lol

  • I thought that the Solomons were in the minority. Aren't they Jewish?

  • My 2nd favorite 3rd Rock episode! Thanks for sharing this.

By the way, from a sociological & scientific perspective, we should be discussing ethnicity, not race. There is no such thing as a white race, black race, etc. In addition, it is perfectly acceptable for people of any ethnicity to celebrate their ethnic heritage. However, white supremacy groups don't focus on celebrating their background. They focus on displaying hatred and violence towards other ethnic backgrounds.

  • i thought their poem was really cute

  • I appeared in this episode. Im singing in the Gospel Choir scene top row.The only white guy in the choir. I have very fond memories of performing with my choir 'The Brookinaires Gospel Choir' from the 'First AME Church Of Los Angeles'. It was my first ever appearance in a US Tv show and it got me in the actors union Sag. All the cast were great and through a reccomendation from John Lithgow some choir members and myself got parts in a New Opera at the LA Thetre works called 'Monticello'

  • Always thought Nina was a racist... In that typical american way.

Why is americans soo preoccupied by race?

  • @TheodorBjork because its one of the only countries that is asked to apologize for it

  • I think this show could've fallen the way of many other alien sitcoms. But the acting chops of Jon Lithgow and his range makes it thorougly enjoyable. The rest of the cast aren't chop liver either. They all add brushstrokes to the fresco called "3rd Rock from the sun"

  • absolutely brilliant. The bit at the end especially. I haven't lauged that hard in a while. Thanks for the upload.

  • "Racism. Stop racism. Stop racism. Stop."

    HahaXD

    "ONE LOAD. ONE WORLD!"

  • love the joke about Bryant Gumbel. I thought they were gonna say Steve Urkel.

  • Omg Dick singing in the church was one of the funniest things Ive ever seen!!! :D:D:D

  • LITTLE EMILY OSMENT!

  • their poem should be turned into a song

  • Emily looks so cute in this!!!

  • I'm your saviour....

    (goes quiet) LOL

  • I am neither black or white . As an international- i wounder why white people cant have their own group if black people can?cant white people be proud of being white just like black people claim to be proud of being black, but get offended if someone calls them negro-which is their historical name.My black friend gets her entire college tuition paid by the government while my white friends have taken student loans.I dont understand this. reverse-racism?

  • @shyleshful

I think you were referring to college financial aid, in which case, your white friend probably came from a wealthier family than your black friend. If not, then he must have messed up on the FAFSA.

  • @shyleshful

i agree with u. but wen we say out stuff like wot u said, immediately we'll have narrow minded people who'll say we are racists. personally i think the white race is great. i think we have to thank them coz if not for them we would not have made many discoveries in medicine, science, technology and space. Majority of big names in these fields are white. I mean how many black astronauts and black 'steve irwin' do we have? even most asians associate the blacks wif crimes.

  • nina can sing!! damn she's good.

  • That little girl is also from FRIENDS episode where Rachel is giving out halloween candy!

  • WAYSTATION!!

  • holy shit

    this is almost bullshit

  • So sad that the hispanics were never on one single show. Many complain about not enough afro Americans, what happened to the hispanics, asians and people from India?

  • @patsaxon The reason for that is because at the core of the population of America is White and Black (African-American), English speaking people and an American sitcom or TV drama series featuring a cast of just Hispanics, Asians or Indians would jus look forced and tokenistic. There's really nothing wrong with American shows featuring just Americans, an Indian show featuring just Indians etc. No one's wondering where the white people are on TV in those countries you mentioned.

  • ENJ4321 , Your GF is white just coz of she loves your you and she know what! haha:))

  • Nina is a beautiful Queen Bee

  • @probot65 lololol yea she is and i bet ur white

  • One load... One WORLD!!!!1 rotflmao

  • I had to fast forward through most of this episode

  • They're not embracing their "Jewish" heritage (that they chose based on their name, Solomon, in season one).

  • @TheBookWasBetter Thank god for that!

  • NEVER AGAIN SHOULD A CHEROKEE MAN BOARD A COMMERCIAL JET LINER AND BE AFRAID THAT THE COWBOY PILOT WILL TAKE HIM AND THE REST OF THE PASSANGERS OUT!!!!!!!! YEAH!

best epsiode, I miss this show. was this show out when hanson was around???!

  • TELL ME I'M YOUR SAVIOR!!!

  • A bit heavy handed. Messages get across better when they're subtle. And it makes it sound like that if you're a white person you can't be good, but if you're black or a minority (which I am) you're automatically good.

    That poem is hilarious!

  • every single race that exists is racist one way or another. its not just between whites and other races.

i am proud of being white, but i sure as hell dont think im better because of it.

  • No there is a difference between racist, and prejudice. You can totally be prejudice without being racist. The only group that seem to be racist is whites. You can be proud to be italian, German, Greek, but hating people for what they look like is evil.Every culture is a little bit prejudice.I'm black proud to be, but I have white friends, and black, latino, asian.I have a white girlfriend, I listen to rap but more to metal music, I live in the projects.Anyway I hate everyone equally, even blacks.

  • Well for one, its not only whites who SEEM to be racist. I have had racist bullshit happen to me and im white and it's all come from black people, lebs, asians.

  • I don't agree that only whites are racist. I know plenty of racist asians, latinos and blacks, they are just racist against different races including whites. But that still counts as being racist. Racist dosent always mean someone not liking blacks in particular. Its one race hating another. Either way its always bad.

  • Emily osment was sooo adorable!

  • i'm black and i thought this episode was hilarious. it's not to be taken seriously, people ;)

  • I think the little blond girl is Emily Osment =D

  • It is.

  • @Nuchshlep i saw her and i was like LILLY from Hanna Montana! she is so young i almost couldnt believe it

  • @Nuchshlep who's emily osment?

  • @promgirl992010 she plays on hannah montanta as lilly

  • in this world, america will the laundry of the chinese and we will mix the whites and the coloreds.

    ONE LOAD, ONE WORLD.

    peace.

  • ppl please come one it's just a fun episode, don't argue pls!

we don't need to fight over it! :)

I love the song lol :D

  • "And I'd like us, as a family, to kick it with Sean "Puffy" Combs more often."

  • I love emily osment in it :D

  • 4:10 Such great acting! Hahaha, she did such a good job making that look like an accident.

  • lol emily osment is in this

  • You are sadly mistaken. There is racism or both sides. First of all, as cliche as it sounds, America is a white man's country. The norm in today's society is set by them. Let me explain: If I were to come in for a job interview with dreds in my hair and speaking ebonics do you think I would get that job? No. If a black person was walking down the street with baggy pants and a du-rag. Do you not think people will assume the worse about him?

  • He could be the nicest person in the world, but I guarantee that most people would assume he some type of gangsta, b/c it's not the American norm to dress this way. If two women were applying for a job, and they had the same credentials, and their names were Shanique Williams and Alice Cooper, who do you think they would give the job to? Or if two men, a white man or a black man, walked into a convenient store, who walked the owners most like watch? The black person.

  • In truth, the odds are stacked up against blacks in America. A lot of blacks in this country are poor, and while growing up, they aren't taught things like stay in school or take education seriously, they are taught to do what you can to survive in this country. As a result, a lot of them don't graduate or go to college. They don't get those nice jobs. A lot turn to the streets in an effort to make money.

  • It's really sad, and what's even sadder is that history repeats itself, ensuring that black people will never progress as a people. So for you to say that black people aren't the receivers of racism couldn't be further from the truth. Black people are discriminated against every single day. I see it on TV and other media. If a black athlete gets in trouble, it's on the front page of the news section. Whereas if it's a white athlete, it's in a paragraph on pg. 3 of the sports section.

  • Unless it's something extreme. There are still areas of the country where black communities get the shitty dilapidated school house and white people get the nice schools. With blacks being in the poorer schools, they can't afford the same quality of teachers that the white schools get. This results in white children getting better educations than whites. Whites in general are born with a greater social advantage in this country, while blacks are brought up to fail.

  • That's why I have a little more respect for a successful black person than a successful white person b/c the odds are more stacked against the black person. So my question to you, how can you say that blacks aren't the targets of racism when they couldn't more false? White people aren't discriminated against, I don't see how they could be when they're the majority, but most minorities are. As for gathering in groups, no one has a problem with that.

  • But when those groups preach racism, that's when the problem occurs. They teach they're children to hate blacks for no reason, and that stupid hate get's passed down from generations to generations. The same goes for blacks too though. No one has a problem with them gathering, but if they teach racism, the same thing happens. Me personally, my problem isn't the people like the KKK, who are blatently clear about their racism.

  • It's the people who aren't; in other words the people who are discreet about. With blantently racist ppl, you know to stay away from them, but with discreet racists, you don't know, and you have to continually watch your back around them. I'm assuming you're white, so you have no idea how much discrimination goes on in America, and what it feels like to be discriminated against. So I suggest YOU wake up.

  • I absolutely agree with you, Rocker, and I think you made some really good points. However... "Alice Cooper"? I laughed out loud when I read that! (Google "Alice Cooper", or even look him up on Youtube if you don't know what I'm talking about.) In all seriousness, though, the rest of your comments were totally on the mark.

  • I honestly don't get how someone can be so misguided, and think that it's white people that are being discriminated against.

  • The places I have worked at always favored minorities. As long as there is affirmative action, there will never be racial equality.

  • First of all, where do you work. Secondly, the lack of racial equality isn't due to affirmative action. Affirmative action is a product of white guilt. It's like saying, "We've mistreated minorities for a long time, so we're going to try and make up for it by doing this. Or a least make it look like we're trying to." Klyngster, affirmative action is NOTHING compared to the advantages that whites get in this country. It doesn't even begin to come close.

  • First of all, where I work or have worked is private information that I don't care to share on a public forum, and I feel insulted that you would ask me to divulge that information.

However, I'm curious about all of these advantages you claim that whites have in this country that minorities do not have that even comes close with affirmative action. Please list them.

  • I wasn't trying to insult you at all, and if I did I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to question your creditability or anything like that; I was just curious b/c you don't hear of that situation too often. Once again I apologize. As for advantages whites have in this country, I feel like I've listed a lot of them already. Let's start with wealth. As you probably know, the wealth in this country is unevenly distributed w/ the advantage going to the whites in this country.

  • I'm not saying white America doesn't work hard for their money, but they have inherited a lot of it. I'm not saying all white people have have some rich ancestor who left them with a lot of money, but the average inheritance between whites and other minorities in this country is drastically different, with the advantage going to whites. As you know, wealth effects a lot in this country.

  • It effects what social class you belong to, where you live, political power, social power, and other examples. As a result, most white inherit advantages in all of these areas. Secondly there is still a lot of discrimination toward minorities in this country. For example, there is job discrimination, racial discrimination, and unfair stereotypes that still exist. However, I've already discussed this, so I see no point in typing it over.

  • Honestly, I could go on, but I don't want to write an essay, I have other things I should be doing, and this 500 character limit is really annoying. Bottom line is, whites are born with a significant amount social, economic, educational, and racial benefits that blacks and other minorities don't have. I not saying it's anyone's fault, but that's just the way it is.

  • P.S. I really didn't want to get into this b/c I didn't want to stir up this controversy, but I feel like I had to respond to Stigmableedingblack's ignorant comment. Also, once again to klyngster, I want to apologize. It's never my intent to insult or condescend any of my viewers/subscribers. As you guys know, I have a lot of love and respect for you guys and your opinions.

  • It's okay. I feel I reacted poorly to the question as I'm in between jobs at the moment. But, I have been told flat out while seeking a job that if a minority with the same abilities shows up, they will be chosen over me because I'm white. Yes, there are more rich whites than rich minorities, but there are more whites than minorities in general, and I've seen more problems with social class. Some office buildings are all women and won't hire men. I just haven't seen what you've seen.

  • Like I said affirmative action is just a product of white guilt. A lot of companies are required by law to have a certain percentage of minorities working for them. But let me ask you something. If they choose a white person over a black person with the same credentials 90% of the time, then b/c they are required to have a certain percent of minorities, the flip it around 10% of the time, is that fair? I still say no.

  • I never said that affirmative action was not a product of white guilt. I don't know why you keep implying that I am disagreeing with you on that. I also am not saying that white people should be chosen over minorities that have the same credentials. You seem to be getting some picture of me in a bad light for things I have not said and I don't know why.

  • All I was saying was that it if two people have the same credentials, the whites shouldn't be chosen all of the time nor should the minorities be chosen all of the time.

  • Also, you have just made my point by saying that it wouldn't be fair if whites got the job 90% of the time, so how is it fair that minorities get the job 100% of the time?

  • I totally agree with you on you first point, but on the second you misunderstand me. What I meant was that if a company chose the white person over the black person for 90% of their employees, but b/c of a minority quota, the chose a black person over a white person 10% for 10% of their employees, does it make it fair? Honestly, I wished we lived in a world where this shit didn't matter, but unfortunately we don't.

  • I'm sorry but the comment about having more respect for a successful african american person than a successful white person kind of makes me a tad distraught. People, regardless of color, work hard.

And on a side note 'racism' is such a double standard in this country. This episode explores that double standard of race where people can go to support meetings and people can use words like the nword or go to support meetings while if a white person does it's bad (given white supremecy is bad).

  • I totally agree, and that was probably a bad way to word it. What I was trying to get across is that black people in the country have more obstacles to overcome in order to be successful in this country. But you're right, to be successful, you definitely have to be a hard worker, no matter what color you are.

  • Or you could just be born rich :)

  • At 2:40, what's wrong with the coloring of Nina's nose? Or is that the video?

  • dick solomon can wailll on tha piano

  • sally insults and breaks the chair? genius !!! freaking genius

  • WAAAAAAAAAAYSTATION

  • 1:17, was that guy supposed 2 be steve irkle from family matters

  • Who Sally?

  • no like sally was like whos that guy with the goofy pants and the giant glasses were they talkin bout... u no

  • Yeah, that was supposed to be Irkle.

  • That was the joke. You were supposed to think it was Irkle, but they were talking about Bryant Gumble. Honestly I don't know what I'm thinking when I answer some of these comments.

  • hahhaa omg that poem is amaing!¬

  • LOL "tell me i can be your savior!!" jajaja

  • PLAYSTATION!!!

  • I was thinking the same thing!

  • omg!

    thats emily osment!

  • aww ur right she's adorable ^^

  • "one load, one world!" xD

  • hahahahaha

"tell me im your savior,..... alright that was just a little too much"

  • Haha.. Laundry.. We will Mix the whites and the colours..

    We're all diff..

But we all feel we are superior to others..

Regardless of wut colour, race, religion or country.. or in this case, planet we come from..

    3rdRFTS Tried their best..

    Respect for their effort..

    Cheers for their humour..

  • Blech, Didn't like this episode. I hate when sitcoms try to tackle "Racism" Or "Sexism".

It always comes out preachy. :-/

  • While what you say is true, I didn't think they were preachy in this one. I thought they were actually funny in the way they addressed it, esp the part w/ Dick in the choir.

  • Well lithgow has a way of salvaging most situations. He's great. But still i find problems with the subject matter. Nina's impudence on the situation angered me.

  • I think they did this well, I for one like it when they can add comedy in order to show a message. Because you are enjoying the show but then learn something on the side I actually learn more about politics by comedians then the news

  • Yeah but Nina is like that in every episode.

  • I agree. I think it's due to the aliens never being serious about serious subjects that makes the show so unique.

  • well the whole show is looking at humanity and how it works and stuff like racism and sexism is part of humanity.

  • Exactly, racism has always occurred and has occurred EVERYWHERE, usually people who complain about racism/prejudice/and even sexism dare I say it are lazy, disorganized, or are not willing to make the effort to be a competent competitor... no matter WHAT race they may be...it doesn't matter how hard the competition is or how high the odds are stacked against you...if you're competent your competent, if your not your not...

  • And BEFORE a bunch of white & black people attack me saying that I am hinting towards their "side"...I am NEITHER white or black

  • I actually agree with you to some extent. There are some people who use racism an excuse for everything, but at the same time there are a lot of people who suffer from discrimination. That's why when I got accepted into college I made sure I majored in something where I wouldn't have to worry about discrimination when finding a job, b/c no matter what doctors will always be needed. Competent ones anyways...

  • well thing is there suppose to study human behavior and racism and that part of it so it's hard not to get preachy.

  • Umm yeah, I kind of agree. It's such a horrible subject, or a downer I should say, it's hard to mix it with something as funny and light as 3rd rock which never even has the slightest undertones of "racism" on its show.

  • BRIAN GUMBLE!!!! LMAO

  • Didnt he say Bryant Gumble?

  • I c the resemblance..

    Haha..

  • "And I would like us as a family to 'kick it' with sean puffy combs more often" LMAO...this is one of my favorite episodes!

oh and harry, sally, and tommy's poem..haha

  • The poem is awesome!
