  • It's like watching an onslaught of right-wing smear being thrown at this man. Bravo, Mr. Weiner! you handled yourself with poise and dignity in the face of the Fox Propaganda Machine spinning at its wildest. I was literally getting vertigo watching all the "fox facts" graphics whirling around his head, in a desperate attempt to continue feeding their insidious narrative to their audience. Run for Prez Weiner.

  • Weiner 2012!

  • that was very slick of fox news slipping in profit margin as if the insurance companies aren't making much profit. profit margin is defined as net profit / revenue, meaning a higher cost of producing will lead to a lower profit margin, making weiner's point: the insurance industry has enormous overhead costs.

also, companies can still reap enormous profits in terms of absolute numbers even if they have small profit margins.

  • I'm pretty shocked at the fact checker in the top right being accurate!

  • I don't get what your saying girardbcp. Do you care to elaborate.

  • Yeah, i would be happy to pay for other people children, there children for god sake.

  • Yeah, we are happy with paying for everyone children heath.

  • I have been in the US a while and I was quite shocked how people were left with their wounds on the street by 911 because they were not ensured (or is it insured?). Once I told it to my friends and fam. here they were amazed that you were not taken care of if wounded! So really vote for that single payer system, as I said before it works great and you won't even notice (except for a healthier life).

  • @Fangornmmc so you are happy to pay for someone else and their children who is healthy and young while you work three times harder to insure them? You see this as fair? The majority of us in this country believe that the government should not make the decisions for us. When the govt pays for you, the govt makes the decisions which are in the govt's interest not the patients.

  • You dont think you are already paying for these people who do not have health insurance. Everytime someone goes to Emergency Care and skips out on the bill, you pay for it. Paying for Emergency Care is far more expensive than paying for there Preventive Care. You pay it through higher insurance premums and taxes.

And the government will continue to do what they do now and regulate health care. Once the laws are passed to regulate it, that's it. They will not stand between you and your doctor

  • @th3ignant1 I love when I get that question about already paying for those who get Emergency Care. Yep, it's only in emergencies as opposed to scheduled yearly visits to the dentist, eye doctor, and pediatrician. That's already more than an emergency b/c they folks who want freebies don't have one child like me. You're telling me it's fair to tell my kid to wait until paycheck to pay for his glasses while someone else takes their four kids and gets glasses free b/c I pd for them? Hell no!

  • @AbuGrablt So your saying you would rather pay more for your healthe coverage directly to the Insurance companies for your own coverage than pay less through taxes which would cover everyone? 40% of your premiums is overhead which go to insurance companies. Medicare has less than 10% overhead.

And your point about the glasses has nothing to do with the issue of insurance company vs. single payer. It's a problem with your hospital or insurance policy. Find a new hospital or insurance policy.

  • Ask people who have Medicare if they like and if the government is standing between them and their health care. Personally I would rather have someothing like Medicare then have and insurance company standing between me and my doctor. They have denied people health care coverage more then the government in Medicare.

  • @beefnliver Why don't you ask why people should have to pay for people brought to the emergency room without insurance?

  • @girardbcp I don't ask b/c I know the answer. We pay b/c we always take the hit if for businesses if gas goes up, if insurance costs go up, if taxes go up, etc.

  • It's very easy why people brought to emergency not have to pay. They don't have any money or insurance that's why. There probably bankrupt because of a pre-existing condition. Don't republican ever thing of there other people. There suppose to be on the right side, but yet there always on the wrong side. That kind of ironic.

  • do not sorry

  • don't have to pay sorry

  • never mine

  • Yeah, but the problem and its not going to go away, and with any problem there a solution? The company's are ones that are diving up cost because there no competition. I will be the first to tell you tax are probably going to go up, but thing about it like this if company have to pay for overhead meaning they have to pay to advertisement which cost a lot of money. So to sit there and ask why people should pay for others without insurance, were not animals. Also, they dead in the emergency room.

  • I am so in favor of the Single Payer health care system! Why? because I have it here, in the Netherlands and It works great! Now please do listen to me! don't make the mistake most other countries have done which is not looking to OTHER countries to see how they are managing stuff! This system works fabolously, you don't notice it in your tax or anything but no more bleeding to death because you were not insured!!

  • Oh my god FOX news is so riculous.

I have never seen something like the Fox Facts board during an interview on any democratic news station. But probably FOX News isn't like that. It's a extreme right wing news station that wants to throw us back in the 50ties...

  • @markspider3 but you are so happy with the liberal leaning mainstream media that inundates everything you see, hear, read, and listen to? YOu are equally ridiculous for being happily ignorant to listen to one side of the argument at every facet of the news. I cannot believe someone can actually say what you say and consider themselves informed.

  • Ahh..... another Rasmussen poll.

As reliable as FNC is able to pass on lies as fact, Rasmussen is there to provide pro-Right-Wing idealised poll result.

  • Where the fuck is the poll. She says take a look but nothing shows up. Faux News does it again to it's idiot viewers.

  • iali00 -- I see your point. Further, at 0:24, the graphic shown states that the health care industry operates at a profit margin of 2.2%. As that may be true, that's not the question at hand. The point Weiner brought out is, what is the profit margin of health care INSURANCE COMPANIES, which is at approx. 30%. Fox Noise always pulls out the stats that pushes their agenda!

  • Anthony Weiner is the fuckin Man!!!

    I Love New York!!!!!!

  • Hell YES!!! THIS GUY KICKED THEIR ASSES, TOOK NAMES AND WEINER SPANKED EVERYONE ON THAT SHOW!!!

  • LOL .... The "Fox Fact-check" is amusing to say the least ...

    Did anyone read them ....

  • And that woman is such a tool!

  • Jesus I wish all legislators were this articulate

  • MORE B.S from FOX !

Congressman Weiner KICKS FOX'S ASS IN their OWN FRONT YARD !

  • That first poll - anyone had a chance to research the origin of that? Is it an independent poll or one conducted by a conservative group?

  • The art of debate by Anthony Weiner, this guy should be studied. He is clear voice offering a common sense solution

  • nice, but you can do better. YOU HAVE TO THINK LIKE A REPUBLICAN to get through to them.

  • Great job Mr Weiner, Best place to fight them is in the backyard of the republican party. Fox News.

  • This guy is great! I hope he runs for pres in 2012.

  • 2016

  • Damn hes good! He shut down every attempt she made to either present fake polls or turn him against some in the democratic party...

  • I lol'ed when I saw the "Fox Fact" come up on the screen!

  • weiner is absolutely brilliant. That poll seemed very questionable, but his answer was perfect. Why should it even be 1%.

She was trying to trap him but he skillfully destroyed that trap.

    Good work congressman

  • Watching Weiner attack the mindless DOGMA of those who so desperately defend the wealthy corporate class against the middle class of America is a thing of beauty. The top 1% of the people own 35% of all private wealth in the US, while the bottom 80% own just 15%. If you're in the 80%, you're a corporate slave struggling to survive and sadly don't know why. Then you come out to town meetings and rage against your own best interests. Wake up, you right-wing lunatics!

  • i thiknk world wide its even crazier, something like the top 1% own 80% of the worlds wealth.

and whats funny the media is defending the top 1% and sprading propoganda to get the 80% to divide and fight against themselves.

  • How courageous is he for taking his (our) cause to Foxnews...Kudos Sir

  • hes got some balls on him that guy

  • Nobody seems to be able to answer that question you pose, which is very telling. Why do they worship at the altar of profit motive? Certain people on the right would have us believe that the central principle of this country is capitalism, not democracy.

  • For the same reason they go to casinos or play the lottery when the odds are clearly against them - they believe that your wealth is something you honestly make and should be yours. What they don't understand is the ponzi schemes and predatory ways of the profiteers will never have their interests at heart.
