  • a type 1 civilization would be a world in which all religions agree with the same knowledge shared amongst each others. type 2 civilization would be religions of the world joining together. type 3 civilization would be a civilization that the religions of the world would be 1 world religion. i think we are 0 type

  • found this by accident, guess I'm lucky, this is relatively recent michio kaku video.

  • Ever since I was kid I've always believed that Mars was once like Earth, and like Venus before that. Earth was once like Venus and will someday be like Mars. Venus will someday be like Earth, and then later it will be like Mars. We know for a fact that the Moon is drifting away a little bit futher every year. Maybe it's the same with planets, they get a little farther away from the Sun each year and go from Venus-like to Earth-like to Mars-like.

  • @TonyN737 The moon is indeed moving ever so slighty away from Earth but there is a point where that will stop and then move back toward Earth---Venus will NEVER be like Earth as it is locked into its orbit around the sun, and also its revolution (year) is shorter than its "day" (rotation) depending on how u measure it---it also has no mag field nor does Mars---Since Mars has no mag field like Earth "terraforming" impossible among other reasons...

  • @TonyN737

If that theory can be scientifically proven, that would radically change the way scientists view space.

Currently we're only examining the goldilocks zone for exoplanets, if the habitable zone seems to change size depending on the star size, then that might mean that our goldilocks zone is shrinking. Which would be something to be concerned about.

  • Welcome and Good Luck with your astronomy studies. I use to work for a college astronomy instructor (he got he Ph.d) and he studied under Dr. George Abell of UCLA, in the late 70s. If u have any questions, just ask. Knew another Astronomy Instructor who told me; "Astronomy is a 'BONEHEAD SCIENCE' (ref. to himself), if a 'Bonehead' like me can understand it, anyone can."

  • Am a big fan and supporter of human ops in space but we need to move beyond "exploration"---move toward utilization and finally what I term the "Humanization of Space"---Human Settlements, (mining/space based industries) on the moon, asteroids: SEE O'Neill Space Settlements.

  • By the late '50s and 60's astronomers already knew the temp of Venus was close to the 900F range and when did the US land a probe on Venus? I know the Russians have but not the US; we have had space probes do fly-bys and an orbit, then desend to burn up into Venus Atmosphere-Magellan---Eupora along with the other 3 Jovian Moons fly though Jup's massive radiation Belt--

  • @rangeclerk I think he's referring to Pioneer but James should have chosen his words more specific as far as US actually "ON" Venus.

  • @Commonsensitivity I listened to the interview again and the scientist that Dr Kaku was talking to did say "on Venus". I use to work at a planetarium in OC and also at Griffith...was drilled into us to be specific and clear when talking to the general public. Have a major question that really "bugs me". So, many planetary scientists like to claim the "terraforming of Mars"---cannot be done as Mars has no Magnetosphere--there are other points as well.

  • @rangeclerk Thank you for your wisdom. I am always willing to listen and learn. I appreciate your consice comments and calling even scholars out when they are not careful with their words on something so important. I just started studying astronomy and the new information just keeps flowing.

  • See "O'Neill Space Settlements, Don't need to live on a planetary surface--Bernal Sphere---4 miles long and one mile wide--housing close to 10,000 folks; trees, rivers, lakes etc. See THE HIGH FRONTIER.
