The way I see it considering all that is left of Grodus is his computerized brain and his eyes I am guessing he would come back with a new and more powerful body. Probably a giant mech with his brain inside a protective dome or he would have his minions build a replica of his old body and he would use that.

It is kind of unfortuanate. They left a possible gap for this guy to make a return and Nintendo never used that opportunity. I think it would be cool if Grodus returned and was the main villain of the 4th game.

I think that is joke. Grodus, Crump and the X-Nauts are still evil. She just said that because she thinks Grodus will not cause any more problems considering all that is left is his cybernetic brain but he could always hook up his brain to a new body and restart his empire from there. Grodus should come back in 3DS as the main villain. Either him or Dimentio but considering rumors of Paper Mario 4 being a retelling of Paper Mario 1 the villain will most likely be Bowser.

unlike Dimentio, Grodus as evil as he was, but was a merely pawn just like Count Bleck, Dimentio only served Count Bleck so he could steal the Chaos Heart to destroy the world and rebuild one where he is kind of all worlds by giving temporary "help" and testing them see if the Four Heroes can defeat Count Bleck

Me too, though after chapter 6 I thought I would fight Crump or the Shadow Sirens. It's not like in SPM where you fight Bleck in his own castle. Bowser and Grodus are fought somewhere else though Bowser's castle was underneath Peach's castle
