in Hollywood movies cut out painted cardboard figures are mixed in with live crowd extras to make it look like more people are in the scene.

is it possable they where used for this effect originaly ?

My family and I went and viewed the terra cotta soldiers 6 months before the Olympics and it was not crowded. To say the least, although I took well over 100 pictures and seen many videos, the sheer magnitude of this wonder cannot be captured on film. You must go and be amazed. Just remember if you do go, you are in a Communist country. The people really do love Americans but there are police and soldiers looking for anyone not obeying the rules. Go but be respectful and you will be humbled.

actually china has the least number of police per capita in the world. the "police and soldiers" you saw in china are possibly the guards; they are hired by organizations and companies, not the government.

for 3 people (one of us is Chinese), a full day with driver and an English speaking Chinese guide, taking us to hte warriors, the tomb, the Goose Pagoda and more- 700 is not to bad!

Well.If you say so, but I got all that and more,and free food,which wasn't that hot I admit for 120RMB per person.lol, and I met other Chinese citizens which was great.
