@Anniex3Michael I think i can help you! :) So, he still plays a F, but instead of a barré, he puts his first finger only on the first fret (after the capo), on the second string. The another fingers are at the same place as the F "barré". But the first and the last strings don't have to ring, so use your thumb and your first finger to mute them, or to make it easier, don't play these strings. :) hope i helped you.
