The Stearman that Geo. Bush soloed in on 12/15/42 was eventually sold as surplus by the Navy in 43 or 44. It was later bought by American Dusting of Hollis, OK. where my Dad, Tommy Russell flew it for several years as a crop duster. I was very delighted to learn last year it still existed, that it had a "history" and is now fully restored and on loan to the P.A.M. Joel Russell.
