We had a problem with our dryer when we would do laundry, the whole apartment would get so hot. So we pulled out the dryer, the white tube broke & wasn't connected to the dryer anymore. So we had to get a new tube for it. You really should get that looked at.

You definitely want to clean out your lint trap in the dryer after each load, especially fuzzy items like towels. Dryer lint is a big fire hazard - some people even save it for camping to start fires... speaking of, Jofus, it makes a good fire starter. There's a funny commercial out there by an insurance company that warns about this, if I can find it.

the only thing different about having kids is you have to plan more, you cant really do willy nilly. But for the most part my life hasn't changed much and i have a 5yr old son and a 3 yr old girl. I think you guys would have the cutest baby.

Anna, you're a life saver !! I moved in July and I bought a dryer that I've been using ever since. I didn't even think about the filter because it's not in the same place as other dryers I've used (which have them in the front). Lately the dryer has been taking 3 hours to dry a load of clothes.

When you mentioned the filter I went in and looked but I couldn't find it. It was on the top of the dryer under a pile of unfolded laundry.I pulled out even more lint than you had !!
