Also., he has an Epiphone Les Paul Special II (his first guitar didnt want to spend a truck load if he didnt get into it) a BC Rich Warbeast Trace T. An LTD EC1000 in vintage black is in the works. Really want to move up with his amp to something solid that can be played at home or with his friends that would actually cut thru.

@WoodyWV38 Im in a thrash band and I use a a Peavey JSX head with an Ibanez ts808. I get a great thrash sound. How much cash are you willing to spend? I got my PV JSX used for $600 and the Ts808 for $100. Check my bands megadeth(one of the big four) hangar 18 cover live to see if you like the sound.

Anyone have a suggestion on a combo amp for my soon to be 17yo son. He has been playin for bout 2 1/2 years. Thrash Metal is his favorite (the big 4 stuff) but he plays a little of everything to broaden his ability. He currently has a Peacy Envoy 110 TransTube. Not a bad little combo amp. A Digitech RP100 Modeling Processor. Would like to not HAVE to use the MP to get that Metal sound. I myself am pretty new to all thats out there today. Thanks!

When I played guitar in High School my guitar Hero was and still is Tony Iommi. Black Sabbath baby :-) Then Robin Trower, it was like he channeled Hendrix w/o setting anything on fire. LOL Robin is a very humble person and his old deceased Bassist/vocals will never be replaced. To me Ratt was a Hair Band. LOL Great White was Hair to me also. What inspires me now are the great guitarist's that are still going strong.

I am digging that Fat Drive pedal, it is driving that amp hard. I have been using an OCD because of the 18v capabilities. Perhaps a shootout of the OCD and Fat Drive?

Got a question. I have a vox tonelab se ( tone powered floor pedal board processor.) It sounds great but I am trying to connect it to my cabinet. It does not have enough power to crank the cabinet so I am trying to find a way to increase my power with out changing my tone. Is there anything I can do?

@evhfan1000 add an amplifier. Your Tonelab is just a pre-amp basically. You need a power amp. Even a old home stereo receiver would do the trick for temp purposes.
