  • This is awesome guys.....im gonna start a network cabling company in Nairobi kenya after i graduate.

  • this is overkill

  • This is for people with OCD

  • yeah i know the guys who invented this device... t he beast. the company the worked for is black box networks and i have seen these two guys use it at a very large hospital build. it is supposed to help with keeping track of numbering and lengths of cable and was developed for category 5e and up data cabeling. it seemed to work great and they use it on a national basis with nothing but big jobs so it makes it worth it.

  • if only all trays were nice, flat, straight, half empty and had a draw wire.

  • @tuberlook1

Dude foreal this would only work in a environment that is very very tidy

  • shite

  • what a load of bollocks, what about the bends in the basket, and the 50 other tradesmen getting in your way, get a grip you pair of plums

  • Obviously I.T. or engineers. Definetly not electricians or tele/data......"leave well-enough alone", and that "claw" thingy has got to GO!

  • The name, the complication, the idea, the stupidity. Looks like you'll need to custom the fit the building to bring the damn thing in.

  • So what did this accomplish?

  • Is it special in any aspect ?

  • why. i would be done already. geez what a waste of time.. are you going to set all that up for 4 cable drops.

  • @drod103164 agreed, we just drop 4 boxes of 300m down, tape them together, attach a leader/tracer and pull away. seems like alot of stuffing around to set all tat up and they still only pull 4 runs with the claw lol.

  • what a waste me and my crew can do it quicker by hand

  • What a waste of time, Tape to label ur cables seriously? got to b a sharpie

  • WOW, I'm glad I'm not the only one that would rather keep the money I would have spent on this thing...

  • Extremely pointless, if you had proper cabling training you wouldn't need such a bulky and hard to set up gadget.

  • Seems a bit of a waste of effort, weve managed thousand cat6 cable rack installs in data centers here in Oz with mabye one or two transposed cabled easier F-Set traced, and without all this pissing about, just setup 4 high boxes of cable, or A-Frame drum rollers,

  • I'll be impressed if they make a robot that does all this work in 1/4 of the time.. that would be cool.

  • its 9,000 bucks not 500,000 bucks. Still not worth it.

  • Stupidest invention ever!

  • SWEEEET :P

  • Seems like it takes longer to setup the gear than it does to do it without it....

  • for people who say bad stuff about this, its just so you can pull cables through a large building easier

  • this is good, we can use it in a big building, but u need it a little bit higher with wheels so that if u need to transfer the cables in another location,u don't need to remove the cables anymore.

  • The faster the better, the slower the cheaper

  • @lapulapu12345 I think the point of that 'system' is to be slower for peoples that are pay at the hour. That a lot of paid hours, dicking around that gadget.

  • @newtubetubetube i mean the speed of an internet connection not that speed of work around fucking cables

  • for a low low price of $500,000

  • this is the stupidest thing i've ever seen. you would have to restring your path every time.

  • Right here is a perfect example of Brilliant yet roundabout over-engineering

  • Are there people out there that are actually fooled into buying this "timesaver"? haha what a joke, I rarely have to run cable as sites are usually prepared for me but in the instances that I occasionally have to I can already tell this thing is wasting my time as opposed to just running the cable myself by hand.

  • @driftingeric2k4 you must be and I.T> guy.

  • What in the hell would you do if you had to do it alone haha. Jesus christ that thing is a "BEAST". Cable in a box w/o a spool is the quickest easiest way. I pulled out of 36 boxes of cat 5e through a conduit 300 ft w/ multiple boxes and turns w/ boxes of cable and a ladder.. :) 35 dollars at walmart. It is a scam for all those company's with techs that slack and jerk off causing there bosses to try and eliminate the need for some of there brain cells.

  • been in the bussiness for 11 yrs now and this is bull shit when the hell do u have time to put together all this bullshit ......and when do u ever have that much space for that big mofo i mean come on guys just get to work already and get the job done

  • whats up with this music? Its got to be the worst music i have ever heard in my life.

  • ok .. i have HAD to use this thing. It is a waste of time.. bonseuk your right namn i could have been pulling wire already by the time they even got ready .. this thing is a waste of time and your money if you bought one

  • As a cabling engineer.... this is the most ridiculous idea i have ever seen! inm our business we pull the cables in as fast and neat as possible. By the time you had set this contraption up. My guys would have finished cabling the whole building. netsure ltd

  • @Bonseuk Lol yeah. And they also have to spend time packing it down again. Looks like a waste of time

  • @Bonseuk what i dont get is how he got that string throw

  • total overkill, and "The Claw" is the biggest joke ever, like thats going to fit anywhere, by the time youd set that up i would have had the first lot in

  • Im a cabling and fibre optics engineer and i think the whole thing is totaly pointless, you can set up drums like that with a couple of axel stands or cable rollers and the fact you have already put a draw cord in why put the cord in why not just pull in the cables so straight away you are soing the job twice absolute shite.

  • It's only worth it if you have a large scale operation on your hands. But overall this product is great. The only thing is that I want it to be a lot easier and a more quicker setup.

  • It'll probably take longer to put the beast together than to just run the damn cables...HA! there's so many little parts that'll probably go missing after the first use. this is very unrealistic, but very entertaining...ha

  • Anyone notice that spools of red, orange and black are rolling during the pull but only the black and orange are on the pull head? Someone should have proofed the edits before releasing it. If I did massive cable projects like that regularly I'd either gladly afford that, or build a system that does the same for considerably less. Nice yes but not too many small companies like mine have a need for it.

  • That's fantastic! Makes large scale cabling projects a breeze!

Wish I had one of these last time I did a pull.

  • uh. no. you can keep it

  • Damn. I'll need to go and get certified to use that.

  • little bit overkill maybe?

i dont know i have never done any cabling myself but that looks a bit much consitering you could just tie them all together and slap a bit of string on the end.

  • Really dumb. It would be better as a smaller size (two levels of spools, top and bottom instead of all laid out horizontally) and the whole thing built off a cart base so it could actually be MOVED without a freaking assembly procedure.

And the claw...like..really? Find a really thick cardboard box and cut it up...bam, claw thing. Add multiple layers if you're that worried about the cardboard breaking.

  • send in the Luddites to smash this demon machine its the work of the devil

and whats wrong with a broom pole

  • i like the tape dispencers

tape is cheaper than write on labels

  • wow, so you need only three hours for work that could be done in less one hour :)

  • It took him longer to set that thing up, then to run the cables, lol

  • What a piece of junk! Watch out for THE CLAW! Just think. Someone had to come up with this garbage! I wouldn't be able to use it though becasuse I wouldn't be able to stop laughing!

  • really intense music for a really intense situation.

  • haha

  • LOL @ THE CLAW

which you can do by using taping the cables to a lead as Bretty135 pointed out.

Looks to be a gimmick that will waste not only money, but time. FAIL

  • big fucking waste of time...

  • Ya really a waste of time.... good luck with that...

  • Ya I agree with davethenuts... this is so dumb and would only work under ideal condicions... what a waste of time

  • I like the idea, could be useful for those 20+ calbe runs thats for sure

  • how do you get any work done, all that pissing about i would have had those cables in and terminated in half that time!!

  • thats awesome!

  • Great idea but it looks faffy although not as faffy as pulling individual strands even though you could just tape them all to a lead wire and pull that.
