@qp304 i spent a lot of time practicing and thinking about it, so do not think it was all just ' natural' for me! it takes a lot of hard work, as with many things in life.
The video and the commentary are great, but you do not go into functions of higher difficulty, such as those including both of the cases discussed in this video, and these are the that deserve a closer look.
@imakemyliferock well, there is always something more difficult that needs to be done. i think the basics are a good place to start for those that struggle, dont you?
@person71591 Because since the values aren't being included,(plugging -10 or 3 wouldn't give you a value (you can't divide by 0, and you can't find the even root of a negative number)) you use parentheses. If the values were included, that's the only situation where you would use brackets.
Thank you,
this video helped me
I wish i was good at math.

This video is extremely helpful. You explain everything very clearly, making it extremely easy to follow and take from! Thanks so much!

Do you have a video explaining how to find range algebraically also?
FuelledByPocky29 1 month ago
@FuelledByPocky29 i may have one or two about it but in general this is a harder question to answer. it is a bit easier to figure out with calculus

Can you please do a video showing how to find the range of a function once you have found the domain.

@patrickJMT how do you know if the infinity in the
interval is a positive or negative. like on the second problem?
559Polamalu43 5 months ago
Is it possible to solve for the range without a graph?
MistaCHING 7 months ago
@MistaCHING yes, but it usually involves a bit of reasoning and is harder to do compared to finding the domain.

Thank you so much for this. I understand how to find the domain of a function with no graph, but my problem is finding the range. Can you help?

I don't understand why you didn't use brackets for your finite numbers in the interval notation for x=10, x=-3 :/

for part a), you could also write the domain as "x is a set of R, x =/= -3, x =/= 10"
