Estimations and capabilities of Shtora-2 are still unknown.

Problem with Shtora-1 also was that it doesn't react to NATO laser rangefinders, but only to rangefinders of other T-tanks.

You are right that these are just estimations on papers and many times systems don't work in real battlefield like they are described in paper. Perfect example is Patriot PAC-2 in Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Shtora-1 had its limitations and flaws. Since 2006 they have Shtora-2, about which we know almost nothing.

@bestamerica Yes... it can destroy any UNPROTECTED tank. Russian/German/American/Chines­e/you name it. But Maverick is a laser guiding missile. Tanks with optical-electronical system of countermeasures like Shtora, MCD or other similar system can "fool" the missile by disturbing its guiding system. Efficiency of Shtora against Maverick is 0.8. It means that you have to fire 9-10 Mavericks in order to hit what you say "ussr russia tank".

@bestamerica Correction. Maverick also has an electro-optical guiding warhead. In this case efficiency of Shtora is 0.54. I don't know if US MCD on Abrams can do better? Probably it can, since it came in service in 2006... almost 20 years after Shtora! Technologies available in 21st century are way ahead of those in late of 70s, 30years ago!
