  • I detect the main theme from superman by John Williams had a large influence on this piece.

  • @geoboy333 and Back to the Future By Silvestri

  • @geoboy333 yup!

  • @geoboy333 gotta love williams!

  • Simply amazing. Your process completed changed how I write and compose film music today. Many thank you's sir!

  • Which orchestra was this? Sounds great.

  • what program is used for the mock up? cuz it sound pretty good by itself, if yer just making a small indie movie and cant get an actual orchestra, it would suffice right?

  • Where do the choirs come from?

  • Extremely informative video.

    Congratulations on the finished product!

  • This is so awesome!

  • Thanks for sharing the process of composing and orchestrating it's awesome!

  • Yeah that's more like it! Awesome dude!

  • Really good video, thank you. Could you do a more indepth one about tidying up the MIDI in Sibelius?

  • it's just symphobia and two VSL patches in the mockup? such a rich sound.

  • @Darkforrest408 i dont see how you got this idea there is multiple patch involve we clearly lee see 12 of them in digital performer, plus each of them as velocity and expression data attach to them ,

this is a experienced orchestrator at work, and he know hes software and patch very well indeed, dont expect a result like taht with 3 patchs,

  • @lapmarty I only heard him mention 2-3 vsl patches and a few symphobia ensemble patches. I didn;t mean that symphobia just was one patch.

  • @Moo0z0r Ahahah TRUE! Amazing stuff, nonetheless

  • Wow! This is amazing! Thanks for putting this up, it's very helpful!

  • Excellent. Thanks for sharing

  • sounds cool! be sure to check Yossi Hamami.

  • the choir is real???Wool realy nice music!

  • I have been always wondering what the people in the orchestra, performing the piece think about the track they playing. Are they like "Oh my... I love this piece, what a wonderfull composition!" and they shed tears while playing, or maybe they think it's a not interesting piece, but they have to play it anyway or they just do not care it's just a job you do every day...

  • I play all my parts into my sequencer as well and when it comes time to generate parts and score I know it's a VERY rough time trying to import a MIDI that is not exactly and perfectly quantized and I was wondering what you do to alleviate the pain of putting a MIDI into notation software.

  • Epic! It must be unbelievable to hear your own music played by a real orchestra.

  • Do have any footage from the "Swords of Omens" session? One of my favorite comps.

  • what midi program are you using?

  • It's incredible!

  • it sounds like during the orchestration phase, you cleaned up a that brass walk down in the end a bit. Its a bit more subtle, but mixes very well! Great job, All of your vids are insipiring.

  • thomas bergersen who??? mike patti is the best in hollywood!

  • mike...this was just a matter of time you used the full orchestra....really enjoyed

  • Awesome! Thank you!!
