Well if you do get it, make sure you get it from Wally world. they have the best warranty and it's pretty cheap too. $20 for additional 2 years to make it 3. that's what i have so i'm not worrying about the screen thing anymore.

dont buy a ps3 slim man remember u have a 60gig, the ps3 slim is a weak cheap ps3 compared to that and u dont feel like its a ps3 without the touch sensors, the piano back finish, the nice playstation 3 logo forget the ps3 slim i bought my 80gb over the ps3 slim watch my opinions about the 80gb and ps3 slim on my vid!
I think you're a fool either way. Why would you pay Sony because they made a shitty system that doesn't last? That's not your fault it's Sony's. They should be replacing it for you for free just because it's their fault.

When my ps3 had a problem , i just chilled out for a few weeks til i got a new ps3 slim 250gb, to me the online feels like a better connection when ur playing the slim, but the sound of the fans are louder and it doesnt freeze up as much or restart itself
for sure, and get the extended warranty at the end of the year long warranty you get with it. That will guarentee it's not going to spend anything extra out of my pocket. The extra warranty is only like 70 bucks canadian I think. Less then half of what it costs to repair one.

wrong, wrong and wrong. It is ps1 compatable, it doesn't have a worse failure rate then the original, and it's matte black which some prefer. If he get's it fixed again he may just get another refurbished which would total 320 bucks spent in like a year and run the risk of the new one breaking again at least with the slim you get a warranty and a year to purchase an extended warranty from Sony. Don't take the risk ... get the Slim!!!

No, the PS3 slim has a worse failer rate than the Original.
The PS3 Slim also doent have Platstion 1 compatable. (not that many peolpe care)
The ps3 slim is aslo a dull color and not shiny :)
I say just get it fixed. The slim seems cheap and well brak soon like the ps2 slims did.
