  • Yes I understand he was called Judge because he was never a baptised Jehovah's Witness and he never allowed them to call him brother.

  • @mygoodies411 I thought it was because he drank and hence the expression "sober as a judge" which means not sober? do you have a history source on that?not called brother? how did he get the job? also CTR died halloween night on a train, was he murdered? how did Judge R get in that position of authority?

  • most people have never studied with scholars on ancient hebrew. My first interpretation of the literal marks read "hook", "window", "hand", "window", for the tetragrammaton. A scholar donald craig wrote that the yud, heh, yvah, heh, are trenslated as the man on earth, and woman on earth, and then man in spirit, and then woman in spirit. The name of god is both male and female. Jehovah is androgenous.

  • Read Zechariah 11:10-13. It plainly says that Jehovah was sold out for 30 pieces of silver, yet we know that Jesus was sold for that amount: Conclusion? Jesus is Jehovah! Also Zechariah 12:10 states "They shall look up ME (Jehovah) the one they pierced and mourn for HIM...this at Armageddon. Jesus said the same text about himself in Rev 1:7 Conclusion? Jesus is Jehovah! I decree that the JW organization shall cease to exist in Jesus' name!It is done! I send forth the angels of truth!

  • @abrook888 - Jesus and Jehovah are the same person. So when a person puts faith in Jesus he is saved, right? I guess 1 Cor. 15:19 does NOT agree with you. It says "If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men."

  • MY RELIGION IS A JEHOVA WITNESS

  • What a terrible thing.

  • what do u mea its a terriable thin ITS MY REGILION

  • So, it's still terrible.

  • ok why do you think its terrible.?

  • For one, the WTS has said the bible IS INSPIRED and they're NOT. So, how can I, YOU believe anything they say?

The WTS has FALSELY predicted Armageddon to happen in

    1914

    1919

    1932

    1975

    1982

2032.......doesn't the bible say that NO ONE knows the "day of Jehovah"? So, why did the WTS go against the bible?

The 'generation' doctrine has been changed AGAIN. The 6th time I believe.

    That's just a few. I haven't scratched the surface.

  • The WTS claims that belonging to an organization is essential for salvation. "To receive EVERLASTING LIFE in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it." Watchtower 1983 February 15 p.12

But 2 Timothy 2:10 " obtain the SALVATION that is in union with Christ Jesus along with everlasting glory."

Who will SAVE you MegaArtGirl, the WTS or Jesus?

  • MegaArtGirl, are you planning college?

    Watchtower 1st September 1975 p543:

"No Jehovah's Witness should want to go to college. Rather, work in the Watchtower Organization!"

    Do you agree with this?

  • no i dont planning to go to collage i just want to get married and have kids and live in a nice house

  • You should get an education while you have the time and you're young. It's always a wise idea to have backup plan. There's no guarantee that your marriage will be forever. Besides, achieving something, making a mark in society is a great accomplishment. It's rewarding.

I'm sorry, but just having kids and staying home is the lazy, easy way out.

  • you know what why do you even care about it why do you want to know

  • You said you're a JW, I showed how false the WTS is and warning you at the same time that an education is a great asset. You're young and you have a great opportunity. Just giving some unrequested advice. Now, if you want this fantastic plan of yours and you just don't care about what I'm saying, then go ahead. It's your life, not mine. But don't say later I didn't warn you. By then, it's too late.

  • @poconoporker Did this fool really by 2 cadillacs for the use of abraham? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH WHAT A FOOL!!! DELUSIONIST.

  • Wanna know wat WAS invented islam and u ppl respect their religion but we did not invent our reeligion that is why u tell the ppl false things about us

  • for another reliable source...

    google: sixscreensofthewatchtower

    1JOHN4

  • Rutherford was the one who set up J.W. modern teachings of the J.W. religion.

    Your right..

C.T. Russell had a completely different view as to what he believed about god.

I started figuring this out 2 years ago..

If anyone looks at it in this light they will see these are 2 different style`s of religious beliefs.

In fact the C.T. Russell bible student are still in exsistance today..

Just like the Mormon religion split had happen, also the bible students had a religious split..

  • Late 1800's man. your off by at least 50 years. The best way to argue a point is to have correct information. Otherwise you are proving THIER point.

  • you dont know what your talking about we know people that was in the religone since 1914 so how can you say it was made in 1930 ?

  • rutherford

you are the greatest son of bitch in the world

i fuck you and i fuck the watchtower

    i piss on you .

  • @saleta You seem so angry. You like to swear at God's servants? You might want to think twice about that. Swearing is from the wicked one. Satan is a liar and the Father of the lie John 8:44. Jesus was hated, he said his followers would be hated. They lied about Jesus, too. JW's are lied about. Moses was a leader of God's people. Noah was back in the day of the flood. There were so many prophets who led God's people in the past. WHY don't people realize this?WE ARE TRUE DISCIPLES OF JESUS CHRIST

  • Where are you on the Tooth Fairy? Your claims about Russell are simply ridiculous.

  • They are EDOMITE JEWS

  • C. T. Russell was positively NOT the founder of the JWs. He was long dead when in 1931 the revised organization under Rutherford took on that name. Russell was not a prophet, and never claimed to be. He, therefore, never spoke any false prophecies (a guess is not a prophecy!).

  • I'm sorry yomamayomama7 but he did proclaim himself the last Laodicean prophet, and yes he did 'prophecy" many times in the name of Jehovah which is a fault to the third commandment, about using the name of God, his prophecies didn't come true because Russell was studying the great pyramid, just like Allister Crowley did, he even designed the tombstone that is placed on his grave what is it? a Pyramid doh! It's a shame that so many millions are lost in this satanic cult.

  • Please show me in his voluminous writings one single sentence where he proclaimed to be the last Laodicean prophet. I won't hold my breath - it isn't there. Thanks anyway!

  • Russell proclaimed himself the last Laodicean prophet, Not Rutherford, Judge Rutherford was just a drunkard who took advantage of the watchtower and the people in it, he said birthdays should not be celebrated as well as Christmas, later on another nut would say that giving blood transfusions was a sin, yet another coocoo will say in an assembly that the end will end in 1975, check my videos for proof of all these points thanks

  • Just google last laodicean prophet Charles Taze Russell, you will be surprised of how many answers you get.

  • As I said, I am not holding my breath for an answer as to where Russell every claimed to be a prophet, and especially where he claimed to be the Laodicean prophet. I have studied his writings in detail for over 30 years, and have not found one sentence where he claimed either. If you - or anyone - knows of such a reference, please provide it here. You will not be able to do so. Thank you.

  • Look you do what you want, you follow Russell's writings for over 30 years that sounds ludicrous, you should have read the bible in all that time anyway, in all that time you should have come across his writings about the great pyramid and fake prophecies I have the first edition and many years of the watchtower early writings by Russell you can buy them on e-bay and that should suffice any normal person to see that his prophecies were fake and obviously not inspired by God end of the issue.

  • Still waiting for the name of one publication, and one sentence on one page, where Russell claimed to be the Laodicean prophet. Just one. You will not be able to provide one, nor will anyone else.

If you respond again, I promise you - no matter what else you say - it will not contain a quote reference.

  • Russells followers kept on calling Russell what he used to call himself, the Last Laodicean Prophet, since all of his failed prophecies were published in the early herald magazines, I haven't spend 30 years like you studying a man like Russell because it's not worth it, I rather studied the word of God, just by reading some of his works I understood he was a pagan, who studied the great pyramid and masonry just like Allister Crowley his first books were based on the pyramid's prophecies HELLO?

  • I assume you wan to bring this to an end as I do. I notice no page reference has been provided, which is no surprise! No one else reading this thread will provide one either. By the way, I have studied the Bible far more than reading Russell's materials. Accusations are ok, as they usually follow when a question cannot be answered. I have spoken (quite some time ago!) to several people that knew Russell. I have heard directly from them he never, ever referred to himself as a prophet.

  • Since I will bring this to an end, I wish you well and God's blessings on you as you study his divine Word.

  • check Russells website

  • @ yomama who needs quotes when it's "The 7th Laodecian Messenger" is on the man's freaking pyramid/tombstone, why do you need anything else, forget what other people are saying on youtube, once you see that, you'll see you were wrong.

  • why don't you just buy this book?????

^ Laodicean Messenger, 1923, Chicago: The Bible Students Book Store, pp. 1-5

This is a book published by the Biblr students the organization he found, not the JW who was founded by the drunk judge Rutherford.

Russell was self named the Laodicean Prophet.

It can be found in many of his publications, or just google it.

    END OF THE ISSUE

  • I personally know the author, and have read the book twice.

Others called him the Laodicean messenger; that is not in dispute. Russell never, ever called himself that.

As expected, you have not answered my question. No one else reading this can either.

No one will produce a quote from Russell's writings, anywhere, wherein he made such a statement.

  • The great day of Jehovah is near. - יהוה

  • sit there and basicialy lie about the word of god and of his son Jesus who died on the cross for us because that is what they are doing. They try and diseave u by saying at the begaining by selling ordenary books they then come bck with more and more then books from the watchtower come into play and preach the so called the truth then you ask them to leave nicely they then tell you that I am lying to myself of what the truth is I know what the truth is I certainly don't need some cult to tell me

  • what a dishonest religion which hindsight is dying out why because there eyes have been opened far far from the truth fr what jws preach it is a dangerous inhuman religion as Jesus said we should love on another as we love ourselves. But the passage does not agree with jws why because if you are not a believer they don't love or respect you as they state if you r not apart of this cult and you defect from them. you r disowned by your family totally and rebuild their lifes totally how can they

  • i heard that the dude who started this religion actually admited he was wrong about his idea's about the bible..but his crazy followers kept on with it even if they knew it was all fake

  • We need to stop the governing body of their false doctrines

  • Amen!

  • I in all honesty cannot fathom one reason to be a JW. It has so many ridiculous beliefs, poor translations, phoney dates for end of the world, flip flops on 'doctrines' and deceptions that it leaves me baffled. They are non-Christian, sect-like and patently ignorant. But they work their butts off to peddal this garbage. Yet we Catholics, who possess the Truth in its fullest manifestation on earth, are often apathetic and indifferent. Rise up and share the Truth to those lost in sin.

  • yes catholic who has full of sins who disobey GODS rule

  • Judge Rutherford was voted in once charles Taze Russel died just like in any corporation. He was one of the Socities lawyers and with his strong personality could easily overcome any opposition. There were 4 bethelites who refused to accept him as president and Ruthrford found a discrepency they were not under a 4 year contract by charles russel. being a lawyer got rid of the brothers and appointed his own people. Read all about it in the proclaimers book there history is whitewashed in it tho.

  • Thank you lojanos, interesting, though some say that Russell's Will was almost completely ignored by watchtower society. Yes we'd expect 'official history' to be somewhat through 'rosy-tinted glasses' we're all guilty of this. There's more documented history available through online museums.

I guess a good view on the Rutherford [hostile] takeover is pastor-russell spot com, (website under renovation Aug 2008).

There's also that from the original Bible Students, still going strong today.

  • No problem. I was baptized as a witness for many years as things got stranger and stranger. they dicouraged you to read what they call apostate literature which really was all there old literature.lol I don't get that at all and never will. Cult control works wonders.Take it easy!

  • @LOJANOS ,,Who really cares about what happened in the past.lots have been learned since CTR awakened the world to the truth,he wasnt a demon no more a demon than say Billy Graham,CTR was as strong a believer in his way of truth as was Billy Graham, who's right?,well you and i personally make our choices no need for all the bad mouthing just get on with what you believe t be right.

  • hitler was right about a few things and mein kamf was a good read in its day sieg heil

  • mien kamf is an eye opener. Dunno why it's 'demonised'. Religious pyramid schemes like the watchtower cult use stuff out of it. Like for instance reducing a concept down to the simplest level that can be understood and then keep battering the same thing over and over again until it is believed as truth.

First law of propaganda, even lies repeated over and over become accepted as the truth.

  • Rutherford was never a judge yet he was called one.

  • Yes, although trained in Law, his title: 'Judge' was an assumed title, like the assumed brand-name for god.

Rutherford, spiritual leader of the watchtower-following, has left behind quite a legacy.

    Being Judge-mental!

And of being 'judge, jury & executioner' too, so quick to dispense away with the 'right of existence' of those who do not beleive 'their way'

  • mein kamf wow stupidity in action

  • "mein kamf wow stupidity in action"

I agree. A very influential book used in many different applications as well as organised religion. In watchtower church HQ in brooklyn there is one of the largest libraries of its kind in the world, even back in rutherford's day having all kinds of sections including nazi propaganda techniques, books on sprititualism, russian government population mind control, etc. (source: governing body member, confirmed by researcher at bethel and writing department)

  • Again, the text comment contained more bible prosleytising, which has been deleted.

If the good people among us want a bible read to them they'll go to a good church and listen to a qualifed and respected pastor that they trust with their life.

The text remaining: "thats serious stuff!!! "

Well to the reader, it might well appear that way, however it didn't seem to have much to do with the subject of this video.

This video by the way is about how the name jw came into being.

  • Good topics related for debate are:

    1. The history of the Rutherford takeover and locating verified testimonials of those present

    2. What active members of the watchtower movement believed at that time

    3. i.e. when did they stop worshiping jesus christ, and how long was this transition period?

    4. tracing the stages of doctrinal evolution, under the influence of wartime propaganda

    5. if demonisation of hitler & rutherford's illness had influenced the removal of visible leader from the cult

  • rutherfords takeover by evil force is documented by his chief opponent paul s.l.johnson.contact the bible standard ie laymens home missionary movement.its all covered in epiphany volume 5 or 6.just ask them.they will send you a copy for like 4 bucks.its a big book.

  • That's interesting. Can you tell us a bit more history?

I believe it was Johnson orginally sent over to UK, but he discovered us UK people had many things to teach him, after being led to believe the contrary before he left America.

In the watchtower's own year book 1975 (around failed armageddon prophecy), they wrote about it too. Compare the versions and read between the lines.

  • Again, the text comment contained bible prosleytising, which I reserve the right to delete without warning.

Debate about the video, yes please, prosleytising with bible verses, no thanks.

I hope you understand, I'm trying my best to maintain a high standard of debate and the exchange of personal views, quoting holy bible, holy ku'ran, tora, or any other historical text does not help.

  • I've deleted the comment as it:

    1: contained bible prosleytising

2: is doesn't appear to be connected with what this video is about.

3: the grammar and spelling in the comment was almost unreadable

4: if it is a valid point, connected with this video then it's worth re-phrasing in langauge which is readable

  • "... display itself in an instance xxxxx ..."

    1. I firmly believe Gahndi, Florence Nightingale, and many other good people were closer to god than you, and none of them used an exclusive 'brand name' for Our Heavenly Father.

God is too big for one religion.

For a man-made organisation to 'brand' god & then mis-quote bible verses way out of context to 'support' this branding, is appallingly selfish.

Do not call OUR Heavenly Father names. Jesus didn't. I will delete text that does.

  • Bible prosleytising is banned on my Channel, I reserve the right to delete comments which do this.

    Debate, yes, quote bible no.

  • Incidently, just as Hitler came up with 'Mine Campf' in prison, so did Judge Rutherford come up with something too while he was imprisoned, that was the new identifying name: "jehova witness", around 1931.

Then, the next task was to search for the best verse in the holy bible that would provide 'biblical support' for this new name 'j-w', that would be accepted by as many as possible of those left still following the Watchtower after the 'Great Schism'.

  • Notice that official pictures of Judge Rutherford, he's seldom shown facing left, that's because it showed him as aggressive and ruthless-looking as he was in his actual life. He was a trained lawyer who ruled with a rod of iron, not many people would dare cross swords with Judge Rutherford, those who did were severely dealt with, not just by Rutherford, but by all those following him as well.

  • the leader of the watchtower, Rutherford then faded away, spending more and more time in Beth Sarim, (originally built for a predicted 1925 resurrection of Moses, Abraham and co). Rutherford had died at Beth Sarim, while he was ready to welcome the resurrected 'princes', but his last days were given some comfort by the use of a pair of 12 cylinder Cadillac automobiles originally bought for Abraham et al, which were garaged at Beth Sarim.

  • Sadly, Judge J F Rutherford had got cancer, and had to drink heavily because of the pain he was in, about the same time Hitler was rising to power as a cult leader in Nazi Germany, and world opinion turned against hitler. I guess Rutherford, trained in Law, quickly realised a visible leader is a vulnerability.

  • No one "has" to drink - drinking is a matter of choice.

  • we'll get there !! let me try again :-)

  • Well, I'm kind of new too, so you got me. I'll try to add you as a friend to see if it works.

  • hi 44288, i'm very new to youtube.... how does one add a freind please? thanks :-)
