I find lights like this useful when the sun is low behind or in front of me. Its no garantee, but I have had workmates see me from the distance in such conditions
@downfader2 I have had the same comment, thought again there is the downside, (shown in "New Zealand Police still failing to spot illegal vehicles") if a nutter is coming the other way they have more time to pull on to the wrong side of the road to drive at you! :-(
Thanks for sharing this. You have now given me an idea to try this comparison with my DiNotte 400 L lights. I have also linked to your video in the Australian Cycling Forums thread on the Magicshine 900. I am sure there will be a bit of interest :)
@redvee2002 Yea they are quite close, the bike lights put out a fraction less, but from a much smaller area so they are brighter to look at, of cause a video camera and pc screen can't do either lights justice, if they could your room would be lit up as you watched :-)
@drsquirrel0 Yea, the frame rate is not ideal, it's a Nokia N900, but it is all I have (with a display) could be better for sure, but gives an idea of the brightness at least.
@gaz545 No, well yes I have had the odd reaction, but I don’t see any daylight tests about and as I am very keen on being seen in daylight too, I see a daylight test as very useful.
By the way, I saw the contour rear mount on your blog” “croydoncyclist” (subbed), I had considered that system before I made my mount but wasn’t sure it would stay in position with the shitty volcanic chip roads we have, it does, and as it turned out the rubber ball joints work well as shock absorbers too.

Hehe, Suzuki Swift. Where did it made? I guess, in Hamamatsu.
There's a Suzuki factory in Hungary (Esztergom), but the wheels are on the left side in those cars. :)

@atomboy83 I don't have a clue, I am sure it wasn't made in NZ though (it starts!) :-)

There isn't a lot of difference between the bike & the car tbh.
