Chad's completion percentage in '06 was great, as usual, but I've noticed his struggles against quick, blitz-oriented defenses. His weaknesses become apparent against pressing LB's and DB's, no question. Not saying Chad is a superstar [though he was pre-arm misery. See: 2002, first half of '04], but he's a damn good QB. Would like to point out, after scanning the comments, that it wasn't me ranting months ago, must have been one of my friends on the account, cause I'm more civil than that.

not necessarily. pennington is an above average qb. bringin ur team back from a 4-12 season up to 10-6 is amazing in my eyes. they just need to work harder to get past new england, especially since theyre in the same division nd they got ppl like randy moss,stallworth,adaliuas thomas. jets also got good players; chansi,harris,revis,thomas jones,barnes,(that 1 DE from the dolphins, i forget his name). and not only that, but they have rhodes,pennington,mangold,ferguson,cotchery,coles, etc

the only reason my beloved Jets had a 10-6 record last year was because of the extremely easy schedule. I look at the schedule this year and predict about a 6-10 record. However I am optimistic, we are finally on the right track with Mangini and Mr. T the GM. Some great recent draft choices. The Worman Edwards error is over and soon the Pennington era will be over.

Yeah Chad looked great against the Packers. His two interceptions looked pretty, along with the ones he tried to gift wrap for the Packers. He could have easily thrown 4 interceptions today. He looked average at best. MVP talk is ridiculous for a guy who has as many TDs and INTs.

The best way to develop a QB is to let him watch...the game is to fast for a rookie he would just make mistakes and get injured and if he's going to be the future for the jets I dont want him injured...Plus we dont have the O-line to protect him,, give the O-line some time to mature....wait till later in the season to start him if at all.
