Perhaps if everyone had the same mentality as this the world would be a much more pleasant place. It shows that we cannot categorize each individual race and religion into one broad group. The Israeli army should be ashamed of their actions and should think back a few years to what their ancestors where objectified too, basically repeating history is in no way honoring their memories or showing respect to the pain they endured.

If the Allies of world war 2 refused to bomb other cities controlled by the Nazies and wouldnt go into Europ sacrificing their lives in order to save others than the free world wouldnt exist. Serving in the military is obligatory from this only reason, and who ever say the opppsite is complitely wrong and dont know what he is talking about. If Israel would lay down its wepons it will be wiped off the map by the same countries who tried to do so in 1948 1967 and 1973. And some of them are still trying now. In South Korea there is also compulsorry service in the army from the same reason who ever refuses to serve there is criminal and get to jail. So how israel is so different.

The difference is that they are being jailed for few weeks while a common israeli soldeir is serving for 3 years. Meanwhile they can go to university, travel around the world and do whatever they want. I doubt that they would do the same thing if they were jailed for one year. Israel with the occupation and without is in danger by enemy states and it has been from the day it was born.
