  • This is Grand :)

  • I prefer the version with David Hurley singing countertenor: its faster, cleaner and crisper. However, this is still excellent.

  • This is just too short

  • Did you all know that this song is about gossiping housewives? They are talking about how well their husband takes care of them, lets them do whatever they want and how he "feeds the chickens" and the other wives basically say "Oh yes, he definitely feeds those chickens alright"

So to be blunt, there is an innuendo about how all of these women unknowingly share the same husband XD

  • Sorry, my only response to this - get off the steroids! It's so fast!

  • @187klrysinmalteasers It's supposed to be fast... they imitate the chickens :)

  • @ethalinia My group aren't doing it nearly that fast and we stilll sound like chickens :) And we look like them cause we're nodding our heads to keep in time :L it's quite funny watching us actually hehe

  • haha i was singing this song in my schools, sadly, mediocre choir.... never realized it was this fast xD

  • deteste sa

  • very pleasant

  • I sang this in Baltimore's Peabody Senior Choir many years ago. If any former choir members remember it, I'd love to hear from you.--Joe

  • Thanks to Annette Merrill Hammerberg & Devon Elaine Cattell for sharing- those High School choir/Madrigal days we shared stand-out as some of my best singing experiences.

  • Il est bel et bon is a song written and sung for four voices. Do anybobody knows who of them sang in this rendition? It seems to me that apart from the bass and the tenor there are the 1st baritone and the 1st countertenor singing, as it should be, but i'm not sure...

    Anyway, marvellous!!!!!

  • @deejayL89

I'm not sure of the Baritone, but it sounds like Jeremy Jackman on the countertenor part.

  • Je l'apprend en musique xD

  • I love this song. We're singing it for UIL

  • this rocks the house

  • we have to sing this in our choir, i love how one of our members told us that the lyrics translated mean, 'My husband is so hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot....etc'!

  • For a song that is supposed to be sung by gossipy women telling about how hot their husbands are, the video with the cute little angel in it is a bit unnerving.

  • @Ellas13thnight hahahahaha, thumbs up for that! :-D

  • I love always more their voices..

  • ahhhh the chicken part always leaves me tongue tied

  • were singing this in paris next week :) but were singing the verses in english .. the lyrics are very strange. and the "coq coq coq coq coq coq dae!" bit isn't easy to follow on the score!

  • lovely music!

  • I didn't know these guys ever had instrumental accompaniment.

  • holy crap i have to sing this for honor choir it sounds hard

  • my choir's singing this right now. There chickens are much better than ours but still, we're not bad

  • My choir did this song. We didn't do nearly as good. This is great

  • This song is amazing, probably the greatest acappella group and one of the best choral groups period. Simon carrington came to give my high school choir a master class last year b/c my choral director was taught by him!!!

  • This song is on Naxos:P

    It's good!

  • Thank your for broadcasting this song. I needed it really much for a music project :)

  • Excellent !

  • The best version of that song here,on youtube!

  • the only valable!!...please!

  • @rosovavoda word!

  • It was the first thing I sing with the choir of the high school...

  • I love the petite coquette part of this performance! Sounds just like clucking chickens. :P

  • Petite coquette...

In my choir, the basses translate this word in a slang language on the male anatomy ;-).

But impossible to write it here.

See on a french slang dictionnary

  • I'm sorry, I don't understand....what do you mean?

  • this is the best song from the whole time period in my mind. some one should post the king's singers performing this live

  • Very amusing song.

  • I have this song on cd. I love it. Would be so cool to see these guys in concert
