Singapore uses a dual system (private and public) and the government option there is mainly an option for their own citizens not foreigners.

Ron Paul is right when he says people dont have a right to another person's service and by having gov't throw money at a system that only benefits a corporation is wrong.

Besides the US is broke and healthcare reform is way too expensive for the country. I'm Canadian and free care isnt really free when i make monthly payments for it :)

Singapore has Public and Government Healthcare... it's not totally socialized yet. Paul is right... free markets work... look at Lasic Eye Surgery, free market, dropping prices, competitive market.

u misunderstood him when paul said he never heard of anything like that happening. he was talking about during the times before corporatism or when there were less govt and less lobbyists..... he would agree with u that there are major problems in healthcare now... we've had managed care and it failed... i didnt watch the rest of the video.. if u watch other videos of ron paul or do some research on him u'd find out that he aready addressed and refuted many of the points uve raised

I know what you are saying, man, but I see this world and I see the things people do to eachother and I read what these oligarchs have to say about the things they plan on doing. I see it and I say that Jones really is just some guy who did his homework and freaked out when he pieced it together, just like everyone else. Self reliance not state subsidies. if the individual does not like his lot in life...he must endeavor to improve it himself...not thru gov't support of subsidy. Americans who go overseas for treatment have to pay for that treatment even if it is at a lesser cost, they do not get it for free. So your argument is empty.

True and I never said they didnt have to pay. The point I and ron Paul was making is that care is cheaper there.

The reason why its cheaper isnt because of medical malpractice laws as he states BUT because they have UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE.

This system lowers costs across the board.

Just think about it, in our profit based system, billions of dollars goes to buying a CEO a yacth, Buying a couple mansions, paying lobbyists to bribe politicians.

I've never traveled to another country for treatment. But the countries that I have been to have a cost of living much lower than the US. It's the relative cost of living overall that affects the cost of health care, not universal health care system. Think about this; the majority of health insurance claims are paid. The problem isn't health insurance, it's gov mandates and regulated access to out of state ins co's that keep the cost of ins high. Univ Hel. Care has nothing to do with it.

Just that they have government health care there doesn't mean shit. Someone foriegn wouldn't qualify to be covered and the person still had to pay for it so it wasn't provided to them was it, so in reality it was still free market of being able to get something cheaper somewhere else. Oh, and Singapore does provided health care but also a private option that provides most of the health care according to wikipeada. So then again in reality they don't have a socialist health care system after all

Actually it means quite alot. Its what's keeping their costs low and improving their quality. and according to the WHO list, there system is clearly better than ours, though we spend more money.

So based on the raw numbers, government health care WORKS better than private
